A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

You close the distance from behind,
The heat wraps itself around my body;
Like a pulse you're trying to find,
Adrenaline consumes all of me.
But you are so close yet so far,
I plunge into a deep endless hole;
When parallel lines trigger a war,
Patient heartbeats turn to overdose.
Hearing your voice that is drowsy,
All thoughts have gone away for good;
You like to drive me to insanity,
Has it all been misunderstood?
And suddenly you become obsessive,
Like I'm a very precious stone;
This is all hard for me to believe,
Looking into your dark brown orbs.
The nerve-wrecking moment soon begins,
How you and I are stuck in time;
Only one thing describes what I feel,
A kaleidoscope of butterflies.
