A Hug
☆☆☆
A frown formed between his eyebrows, his breath coming out short and fast. He hung his head down, hands on his knees.
Defeat. He had to face defeat. This is life and not some fairytale joke. In a fairytale, you could use magic and power to help you win your match. In life, winning and losing are the art of the game.
In a moment of weakness, he found himself longing for a hug. Just a simple hug that could calm his nerves and make him breathe again. He was at the edge of breaking down. Then she came along and gave him what he needed the most at the time. She sat there next to him and hugged him tight, giving small pats on his back and whispering, "It's okay," a hundred times.
The small gesture was enough for him to face reality again.
