If Not Better

Even if many days have passed,
Let alone months or years;
So many secrets, I ain't telling,
It is for good, if not better.
I take my pen and write down,
What I never said but want to;
Here is my declaration,
My heart never leaves you.
How can honesty sound so cruel?
How is the emptiness so heavy?
I gave you my whole heart,
But you took away pieces of me.
I met you and things changed,
I let you walk through that door;
Should I regret my desicion?
Now I know what fate is for.
