But what's a word stronger than miss?
I'm lying on my bed feeling dejected
Old conversations I'm trying to reminisce
I'm reckless when it comes to emotions
I don't know how to approach the situation
Wanna hear you say goodnight to me again
I wish reality were sweeter than fiction
Everyday talks happened quite often
Until one day they don't anymore
Who do I run to when I have things to share?
When there's no one else I'd rather ask for
You're smart, it's beyond my expectations
But even some things you can't figure out
Is it desperation that you see in my eyes?
What is it that I can't seem to live without?
Seems like I'm bad at socializing
Or maybe it's you who's stepped away
From strange things you might've sensed
These confusing thoughts decide to stay
A simple hi is so hard to utter now
It's always been me who starts everything
You know, sometimes I want you to hit me up
Out of nowhere, for no reason, about nothing
But it's wishful thinking, isn't it?
How afraid I am of feeling unwanted
Even if it's merely an exchange of a few words
Please don't take me for granted
You ever feel so hurt your chest literally aches?
You have to grip hard on your pillow
Clutch on your chest, breathing uneven
Until it becomes easy for you to let it go
That's the point I've reached now
What is it about you that turns me upside down?
You matter, oh why do you matter to me?
It's been so many days I can't even count
The question remains the same
What's a word stronger than miss?
Maybe there's none, maybe there's only you
