Persevere

In a state of confusion,
I can't seem to find a solution;
With our distant relation,
We can't make conversations.
And then I get distracted,
Someone else makes me attracted;
My feelings aren't coordinated,
The heart can barely be trusted.
Online conversations feel so cold,
Like there's a story left untold;
But then he smiles, God, it's gold,
Say to my heart, "Be still. Hold."
Precautions are important,
Step by step, close the distance;
Is he going to be a constant?
Make up my mind this instant.
Then he said,
"Persevere, my little girl."
