Adonis POV
***
He was bathing under a small waterfall with his back towards me. His pitch black hair reacted with the water making it shine in the moonlight. His muscles flex as he wash his hair with his face tilted up so the falling liquid gush down on him. An invisible force pulled me towards him and I ran my hands softly down his back tracing his waist length hair. He leaned back into me and when I attempted to wrap my arms around him, he vanished.
I looked around frantically searching for him. I glanced behind me to see him standing on the grass away from the water. He was wearing long fitted black pants that seemed to be made out of raven fathers, his chest was bare.
His back was turned away from me again; I slowly walk behind him but something stopped me at a distance.
He lifted his right hand using his long and graceful index finger to point upward. I lifted my eyes to the sky and spotted the moon. A tiny part of it was slowly changing to a blood red color. I gazed at it fascinated at the sight before me. Right now only a tiny part of its waxing crescent was red while the rest was still full.
I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. I turned to gaze at him but he was gone. I felt his breath at the back of my neck. He placed his lips at my ear softly whispering.
“The knights have lost their center
The white one is dying
Once Luna finish bleeding
Spring will turn to winter
If the Triquetra cannot form
The King will never ascend
And the Fallen shall rise
To dance as Icarus fall.”
A small sense of fear gripped me but I was enjoying his breath on my skin to dwell on it.
“What does it mean?” I wondered out loud. He bit my ear causing me to close my eyes and lean into him.
“It means your future if you let it.” he trailed his nose down my neck and bit the flesh causing me to moan. I turned around to see his face and found myself laying face first on my bedroom floor. Damn that’s going to leave a mark.
I thought back to my dream of my mate. The grace period was over now and I was starting to have dreams about him. This one was less scary and sexual but kind of prophetic?
I try to remember the things he was whispering to me but the words jumbled in my head. Something about bleeding Luna and fallen ones, it was all so confusing.
I still didn’t know who he was especially because I was doing everything in my power to not find out. I avoided anyone who had long hair and never enter the library.
It has been several weeks since Zion returned and things have gone from bad to worse. I barely saw Cyan anymore and since football season was over, I didn’t see him at school either. Helios and I have hit rock bottom. I was sick and tire of his name callings. If he wanted to tell the others about my mate being a man he should, I didn’t care anymore. The betas have also noticed our falling out but there was nothing they could do about it.
