Hello Everyone! Sorry for the late update. This month has been difficult. My grandfather died right around the time I had my final exams. I was hoping to finish this story before we enter the New Year, and I will try my best but as we know life do not always go as plan.

Adonis POV

Osiris ended the kiss and sent a dazzling smile at Shorty, perking him up within seconds.

"Thank you for doing this, James," My dark angel said sincerely.

"I will do anything for you," Shorty gazed into Osiris' eyes, trying to look seductive. My usually innocent mate had a comical smirk on his face at Shorty's declaration.

"Jump off a cliff- mph!" I bent down in pain when Osiris elbowed me in my side for my rudeness. That hurt like hell. I gave him an "are you trying to kill me" glared and pretended to play it off as nothing, but dammit, where the hell did all that power come from. Oh yeah, forgot, king of the universe! Still, he should control that elbow; he could break someone's rib.

"Poor baby, should I kiss it and make it better?" he rubbed the aching spot, forcefully I might add. "Keep acting rude and this time I will break a rib. By the way, his name is James, not shorty, got it?"

He squeezed my sore side until I groaned out an affirmative; "You are adorable," my devil mate chuckled, and warmth radiated from his palm that was still on my side, quickly soothing the area. Sometimes I forget that he can be unnecessarily scary.

"That is call abuse," I laid a hand over the one he still had on my side and rubbed his fingers tenderly.

"Really?" He smirked up at me. "Then why are you aroused?" We both looked down at my lower half, me with no shame, and Osiris with disbelief.

"It is not my fault; that thing has a mind off it its own." Off course, Osiris was not convinced by my words, but then again, I wasn't trying.

"Admit it little Alpha, you like the danger I bring. It thrills you," He laughed out loud and looked towards James who was glaring at us. We had stopped walking during our mental conversation. Osiris untangled his hand from mine and walked to the now sour James.

I, on the other hand, was stupefied. Little Alpha? Only one persona of Osiris ever called me that, Ra. I knew they had all merge, but this was the first time I was this dumbfounded to see Ra in Osiris. Was it because this James guy was calling him Ra and awakened that side off him. Wait a minute, why is he being called Ra? This question I directed to Osiris mentally.

"I used my middle name to introduce myself the first time I met my mother's family," he responded.

"Right," I answered, still flabbergasted. Shaking my head to clear away my surprise, I caught up with Osiris and Sho- I mean James, I corrected mentally when I sensed Osiris aura becoming cold. It warmed back up at my correction, and he smirked at me, but this time I saw danger in his eyes.

"What's wrong?" Now I knew something was amiss with him. "You are on the edge." I took his hand and squeezed it, silently telling him that I was there for him.

"Sorry," he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Something is wrong with my mother; I can sense it."

"What do you sense?" I asked cautiously.

A frustrated sighed left his lips, and he stared up at me helplessly. I pulled him to a stop and wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him tightly. He lifted his head and kissed my throat, his hands grabbing my shirt. His breath on my neck was cold, causing me to flinch. Pulling away, I gaze in his eyes, and I don't know how I knew, but I did – the death god in him was pushing to the surface. My stomach dropped at the new development, and I felt nervous. I truly hope his mother was all right.
