Here is the next chapter. Enjoy!
Adonis POV
What was I doing right now? Pacing up and down, my mind racing as different thoughts kept replying in my head, each one more horrible than the other. Every five minutes I would stare at the clock feeling surprised at the number of minutes and seconds passed. This was normal right? I kept asking myself trying to find a good reason why I shouldn't worry. Come to think of it, jumping to conclusion when I didn't know a thing about Osiris was stupid. Maybe this was a normal everyday occurrence on the heavenly plane he came from. Maybe people slept - My thoughts halted when Helios and Cyan entered the room.
"Is he still sleeping?" Helios asked, sitting down on a chair.
"Yes," my heart was racing at being reminded about my problem.
"Adonis, it's 1:00pm, don't you think you should wake him up?"
"You think I haven't tried? I've used every method there is to wake him up accept slapping him but he doesn't even stir." I snarled at Cyan for saying I didn't tried waking Osiris.
Yesterday when he agreed to sleep over I was beyond ecstatic thinking we could talk all night but the moment the clock strike nine, he fell asleep. To say I was disappointed was an understatement but I recognized that he was tired so I left it alone. I'm usually an early riser so when I woke up at six in the morning, I didn't bother him, deciding it was early. My mother made breakfast and wanted me to wake Osiris so he could eat since he barely ate during dinner. I tried, but he didn't even flinch. So I went to breakfast without him much to the disappointment of my mother and everyone else. My mother took out food on the side for him but now the food was useless since breakfast turned into lunch and my mysterious mate was still sleeping.
"When was the last time you checked on him?" Cyan, ignoring my anger continued to probe me for information.
I rubbed my temple, "I don't know, maybe-" I stared at the clock, "probably an hour ago." I tried not to check on him every minute or I would rip my hair out hence the reason for my pacing.
"Did he tell you anything about him sleeping this long?" Cyan asked getting in his investigator mood. Opening my mouth to say no, I stopped when something registered to me. Yesterday when I beg Osiris to spent the night he said something about wanting to but couldn't because Saturday was the seventh day or something. I wasn't listening then but I wondered if that meant anything. Did he sleep every Saturday like this and what was with the bizarre way of saying it? I hope he wasn't sick with some rare disease.
"Maybe we should check on him again, something could change." At Helios words the three of us snapped our heads to the bedroom door listening for anything. Nothing sounded out of the ordinary - with the exception of his excessive sleeping - he was still breathing quietly, his heart thumping softly. When he first fell asleep, his slow heart rate almost scared me to death but I got used to it throughout the night although I woke up once in a while just to make sure he was breathing.
Taking a deep breath, I followed Helios and Cyan into the guess bedroom, walking up to Osiris. He was lying on his back, his beautiful face peaceful while his long dark hair scattered around the white bed-sheet. The comforter stopped at his waist so I had a good view of his arms. Knowing my brothers were in the room I suddenly felt grateful for the white wife beater he was wearing.
Last night I whined when he wore it, I wanted to see his bare chest. Of course he demanded I wear something to cover up my chest too or he would leave. After laughing at him for what seem like hours, I did what he asked. I smile thinking about the brief time we spent together before his automatic slumber.
