Chapter 20:Acceptance

Usual routine ko na ang gumising ng maaga,maghanda for school,kumain,at sunduin ni Carl.

Anong oras na,wala pa siya. Late sya ng 10minutes. Naghintay ako sa labas ng gate. Asan na yun?

"Kuya pahatid na nga. Ang tagal eh." I said to our driver. I went inside the gate and he went inside to get the car key and went outside again.

May bumubusina sa labas at alam kong si Carl na yun. May narinig din akong pagsarado ng pinto ng isang kotse.

Lumabas ako ng gate at nakita ko sya dun. Nakatayo,may hawak na bouquet ng flowers.

"Sorry,princess. I bought this outside the village." He said and handed the flowers to me. "I like you."

He now said those words. I waited for those words. That confession. I loved hearing that. Hearing his voice plus those words is very perfect.

I took the flowers and said, "Thanks. Do you know that--" he pressed his index finger to my lips and said,"Shh."

"I don't like you,I love you." Then he hugged me. His hugs are very warm. Touching him plus hugging him is very perfect. This feeling,ugh.

Kumawala ako sa pagkakayakap sakanya at hinawakan ang kamay nya, "I love you too,Carl." I adedd, "very much. Since Grade 4. I swear."

"Really? I don't know you back then. I'm so sorry" then he opened the passenger's seat door. "I now regret it that I haven't known you back then." Then he drove to the school.

Leche. Dala-dala ko yung bouquet hanggang loob ng school. Dapat pala iniwan ko sa bahay. Pinahirapan pa ko nito eh.

We almost reached the front door of my classroom and he bid goodbye. "Do you now accept me?"

"I accepted you since then"
"No,Zia. I mean as a boyfriend. Will you be alright with that?"
"Yes,of course."
"I love you,Zia." Then he hugged me,I hugged back.

"I love you,too."
"I love you more."
"I love you very much more,Zia."

"Tigil na nga. Ma-late pa tayo pareho eh." Then I took my bag from him. "Bye,MOO!" I waved at him.

"MOO?"
"My Only One." Then we laughed.

"Korny nito. Daming alam eh." Then he ruffled my hair. "Bye din,MOO."

I smiled. Wooh! This feeling. From your first crush omg. Shemay lang talaga.

I entered the classroom. I feel nervous talking to Chris since he felt like I lied to him.

I slid down to my chair and greeted Chris, "Hey."

"Hello,Zia. Musta ka?" Kahit galit sya sakin,he still cared about me.

"Fine. Super happy. How about you?"
"Okay lang din. Super happy? Bakit naman? Ikaw ha. Di ka na nagkkwento."
"Basta malalaman mo rin yun." Then I smiled. The class started already.

Chris' POV

Break time na at sumabay si Zia samin. Nasa harap namin si Carl,Zia,David,RJ. sa tabi ko naman si Craig,Aaron at JM.

"Hey guys,this is my girlfriend." Anunsyo ni Carl habang nakaakbay kay Zia. Nagtinginan sila at ngumiti saamin.

Those words from him that I don't want to hear. Yes,I like Zia and I want to be his boyfriend someday. Pero ngayong sakanya na si Carl,I think I have to accept it. Ipapaubaya ko na lang siguro ang bestfriend ko,sa bestfriend ko.

"YESS NAMAN CARL!" Sigaw ni RJ.
"Nice,bro." Sabay tapik ni David sa balikat ni carl.

"Congrats." I said to him. I don't want to sound bitter or cold but those came out from my mouth,sounding like I hate them together.

"Bitter mo naman pre!" Sabi ni JM. "Gusto mo si Zia,no?"

"Ano ka ba JM! Si Carl kasi ang gusto nya!" Pang-aasar ni RJ. I stared at him and he said, "Joke lang pre." Then he laughed.

Di na ko nagsalita. I tried to accept the both of them. Mukhang pa-okay na rin naman ako. Siguro nga gusto ko pa si Zia pero hindi ko na iisiping ligawan sya kasi taken na sya.

After class,nagsaksak ako ng earphones sa tenga ko habang naglalakad pauwi. Mas gusto kong mapag-isa ngayon para din matanggap ko na ang mga pangyayari.

"Bro." Hinawakan ako ni Carl sa balikat ko. Tinanggal ko ang earphones ko para marinig sya. "Alam kong nasasaktan ka ngayon pero kailangan mong tanggapin."

"Alam ko yun. Kaya nga gusto kong mapag-isa ngayon eh. Para matanggap kayo." Magkasama kaming naglakad

"Sorry pre. Alam kong gusto mo sya pero napamahal na rin ako sakanya eh."
"Alam ko din yun bro. Pede ko pa naman din siguro syang gustuhin diba?"
"Oo. Pero diba bestfriends lang naman kayo nun?"
"Oo naman bruh. Ingatan mo sya ah. Wag mong sasaktan yun. Or else,mapapasaakin sya."
"Syempre naman."
"Sige na. Tatanggapin ko na kayo."
"Thank you pre." At iniwan ko syang nakatayo dun.

Di ko pa man sobrang tinatanggap ang dalawang yun,at least nabawasan na ang kirot na nararamdaman ko.

Ayokong magtampo pa. Kasi pag nangyari yun,masisira ang friendship namin ni Zia at pati na rin ang kay Carl. Tatanggapin ko sila ng buong-buo sa tamang panahon.
