Chapter 29: Welcome Back

I was awoken by the endless sound of the doorbell downstairs. Wala bang maid na gising dyan para tignan kung sino yun? O kaya si Kuya man lang. Kahit nga yung driver lang eh. Buwiset. Nagulo tuloy yung tulog ko.

With my pajamas on,I went downstairs. Today is December 23! Konti na lang Pasko na at uuwi na rin ang parents ko.

I opened the door first and rushed to the gate. There was a man and a woman standing infront of the gate with a driver at the back.

"Zia? Ikaw na ba yan,anak?" My mother asked,confused. 2 years ago pa ang huli naming Christmas. I nodded and I hugged the both of them.

They entered the house and sat down in the living room. I ran to my brother's room to wake him up. "Oy gumising ka na dyan. Andito na sina Mommy at Daddy. Maybe you mind to greet them."

Kinusot-kusot nya ang mata nya at kinausap ako, "Ha? Ano? Paki-ulit nga,Zia."

"Ang sabi ko,andito na sina Mommy at Daddy!" Pasigaw kong sabi sakanya at tsaka ako lumabas ng kwarto nya. Nakita ko rin namang kasunod ko na syang papunta sa living room.

"Welcome back Mom and Dad!" Then Kuya hugged them. He never showed some affection like this infront of my parents.

"So ano,kamusta na kayo?" Panimula ni Daddy. "Pasensya na't iniwan namin kayo dito. Next 2 years na ulit ang balik namin dun,wag kayong mag-alala."

"Okay naman po kami. Andyan naman si Kuya para sakin eh at andyan din ako para sakanya." I said. It's getting awkward here and I don't know why.

"Ohh. Good then." Mom said. "Ang matured nyo na tignan pareho!" Then she pinced our cheeks. "Nagbago na ang mga mukha ninyo ah. Ganun pa rin ba kayo mag-away ngayon,ha?"

"Di ah. Mas matindi na ngayon Mommy." Then Kuya looked at me. "Laging si Zia ang nagsisimula eh! Napaka-isip bata." I rolled my eyes at him. "Oh! Ganyan oh! Ang arte!" He said while pointing to me.

"Oy,oy,oy. Tigilan nyo nga yan. Ang tatanda na eh,pinaga-awayan pa ang maliit na bagay." Dad interrupted then he went sermon. "May mga problemang di na dapat pinapalaki pa. May mga bagay na dapat ay hayaan na lang. May mga bagay din namang napapag-usapan ng maayos. Okay?" Both of us just nodded. Andaming sinabi ehh.

"Oh sige,Carl at Zia. Ilalagay lang namin tong mga gamit sa kwarto namin at aalis ulit kami para mag-asikaso. Pasensya na mga anak ha." Mom explained to us.

"Okay lang po. Dito na lang po kami sa bahay." I told her.

"Ah mabuti pa nga. Babalik rin kami mamayang lunch time,okay? We will have lunch together." Mom said and she went upstairs to their bedroom.

Less than 10 minutes,bumaba na rin sila with casual clothes on.

"Bye na. Babalik kami ha." Mom said then they entered the car. They kept on waving at us as we stood outside the gate.

Me and Kuya went back to what we are doing awhile ago. I got a message from Carl. "Hi dyosa ng buhay ko! Kamusta ka na? Ilang araw na rin tayong di nagkikita since 1st monthsary natin :( Miss na kita. Punta ako dyan bukas ha? Okay lang ba? Can I like spend my Christmas Eve with you,please?"

He sent that like 30minutes ago. It means it was just right up when my parents arrived. I replied to him, "Sure,Carl. Nakauwi na sina mommy kanina lang. Will it be okay if my parents are here? I'd like them to meet you as soon as possible."

"Okay. See you tomorrow,babygirl!"
"See ya!"

This is real shit. Hindi ko pa nga alam kung pede kina mommy tong ginagawa ko eh. Well,sure na akong magagalit sila at pagb-break-in nila kaming dalawa. I will never let that happen. Luluhod ako sa harap nila kung kinakailangan. Too much,right? No. I just love Carl to that extent. Sorry not sorry as always.

I ran to Kuya's bedroom to ask him about it. "Kuya Diether! Pano to? Bukas pupunta daw si Carl because he'd like to spend his Christmas Eve with me. Eh pano sina mommy? Ano gagawin ko?"

"Kumalma ka nga,Zia. Tignan mo ko ngayon,wala akong pino-problema."
"Ha?"
"Kakausapin ko na lang sina Mommy tungkol dyan. Bukas,darating din si Kat eh. At ipapakilala ko na siya kina Mommy."
"Will it be okay for them?"
"I think so." He had a deep thought. "Let's just do our best for our loved one."

"Okay,thank you Kuya!" Then I went back to my bedroom again. I took a bath and had my clothes changed. Humiga ako sa kama at chinat ang dalawa kong traydor na bestfriends.

"Hi guys!"
"Hey Zia babes." Faye replied. "Kamusta buhay nyo ni Carl?"
"Actually monthsary namin nung 21 eh. He surprised me with a lot of things."

"Naks. Swerte mo teh!" Sumingit bigla si Bianca sa usapan.

"Then we will spend our Christmas Eve together. Kayo? Musta kayo?"

"Hindi na umunlad lovelife ko bes. Ang sad nga eh." Sabi ni Bianca. Eh ano naman na kayang nangyari kay Faye?

"Ako naman okay pa rin. Ayun. Still looking for a guy pero may nagpapatibok ng puso ko ngayon eh. Kaso taken na :(" Faye replied. Ay ayun naman pala eh.

"Bes. Pag alam mong taken na,wag mo nang landiin. Makakasira ka pa ng relasyon eh. Gusto mo ba yun,ha?" Sermon ko sakanya. Like duh? I know who you're talking about,bitch.

"Okay po. Di na po mauulit." She replied.

"Umuwi na parents ko so if you like to come here,just go. They will be happy to see the both of you!" I invited them. This will going to be sooo fun.

"Okay sure." Both of them said.

"O sige na. Bye! Thanks for the time Besties!" I bid them goodbye and they did too. Ang plastik ko ba? Sorrna.
