Chapter 41: 1st Year

A year already passed since that day. That day that I answered him. That day that I became Carl's girlfriend. That day that we found love for each other. That day that I believed there's forever in us.

Nothing special happened. We just had a picnic together and then went to an amusement park. Of course we already had a movie for the months that we're together. Carl never failed to make me happy even with just simple things.

Simula nung 5th Monthsary namin,kung saan nang-trip sya at gumawa ng isang plano,hindi nya na ulit ginawa yun.

For our 6th up to 11th,he never did it again. Nagbibigay lang sya ng mga simpleng bagay,o kaya naman basta lang kami magsasama at magkakasaya. Minsan pa,bigla na lang syang nasa tapat ng bahay at magg-greet ng 'Happy Monthsary' with a lot of my favorite chocolates,na minsa'y magkakataon na monthly period ko pa kaya mas nakakatuwa.

"Ano,Zia?" Carl asked,staring at me while I looked outside as we sat down at the top of the ferris wheel. "Masaya ka na,dito?"

"Oo naman!" I happily said. "Thanks,babe" I leaned over his chest and greeted, "Happy Anniversary! Kaya natin to!" I removed my head and continued, "Isang taon pa lang to,kakayanin pa natin to ng magkasama. Tayo lang hanggang dulo,ha? Ayokong may extra kasi gusto ko tayo lang bida." He repeatedly nodded while smiling at me.

"Happy Anniversary din,babe." He touched both of my cheeks and kissed my forehead before the ferris wheel continued to spin. "Kahit lagi tayong nag-aaway at magka-galit,tandaan mong mahal na mahal kita,ha? Hinding hindi kita iiwan,promise ko yan sayo."

I gave it a smile. We were holding hands and looking at the city's skyline until we reached the bottom of the wheel. Carl assisted me to go down.

"Dinner?" He asked me as we walked to the restaurants that can be found between a few rides. "It'll be my treat this time since you made the sandwiches we ate awhile ago." He smiled at me as we sat down and ordered for food.

"Yaman mo talaga eh,no?" I teased him,smiling,while waiting for the food.

"Syempre." He said,giving it a shrug. "Pinag-ipunan ko kaya talaga to. Tinitipid ko ang lunch ko palagi kahit na gustung-gusto ko lumamon para lang mapasaya ka sa araw na to,no."

"Yieee." I squealed. "Thank you talaga."

"Sure,basta para sayo." And then we started eating as the food came.

"Nabusog ako,leche." I said,rubbing my tummy as we walked outside from the restaurant. I pouted and said, "Tataba na ko nito,babe."

"Mataba ka naman talaga eh." He teased me so I stared at him and left him standing there. He grabbed my arms and said, "Uy babe joke lang eh. Alam mo namang mahal na mahal pa rin kita kahit pa maging baboy ka,diba? I love you,Zia Alexis!" He shouted the last words he said.

I pressed my forefinger on his lips and said, "Oo na,daldal mo talaga." I pinched both side of his cheeks and we went back home. "Bye na,Carl. Thanks for this day. More years to come,ha?"

"Sure,babe." He kissed my forehead again and said, "Happy Anniversary ulit!" And then I said it too. I finally entered the house and layed down on my bed.

My door swung open and Mom switched the light on. She sat down on my bed and said, "Onting buwan na lang,Senior High ka na. Proud na proud ako sayo,anak."

"Thanks,Ma." I smiled at her then opened my arms wide. She accepted my hug.

"Good thing na kahit may boyfriend ka,matataas pa rin ang grades mo. You never failed as my daughter,Zia." She pulled out of my hug and stood up. "Sige na,matulog ka na. Alam kong napagod ka sa date nyo ni Carl. Congrats nga pala." And then she left my room.

Ayun na nga,mags-Senior High School na ko and by that time,aalis nanaman sina Mommy. Ang alam ko pa nga,sa South Korea ang business nila this time eh. For 2 years ulit. Mamimiss ko nanaman sila. Pero okay lang,nandyan naman palagi si Carl para mag-comfort sakin.

1 year na kaming magkasama,magka-partner,at nagmamahalan.
