Chapter 36: Another day

"YES! BAKASYON NA!" I screamed as I got up from bed. I looked at the clock on my side table and saw that it's already 10am. "Oh well,I don't need to wake up earlier than I should. That's what I like about summr vacations." I looked at myself in the mirror and fixed my hair,tucked it behind my ear.

I went downstairs to eat breakfast but saw no one so I stuffed every food in my mouth. After eating,there's nothing to do. I liked to surf the internet but unfortunately, I left it in my bedroom so I have to ran upstairs again. As I ran back to the living room,I sat down on the couch and opened the television.

I kept on searching for channels because nothing's good. Until I stopped on Cartoon Network. Shut up. I have no choice so I chose this instead.

My phone's just beside me while the wifi's open,hoping that it will vibrate and Carl's name will pop up chatting a goodmorning message. I focused on watching while waiting for Carl's message.

At last,it vibrated. So I sat up straight,unlocked it but saw Courtney's name. "Oy babae! Pede ba ko pumunta dyan?" Aba loko to ah. Ang aga-aga gustung-gusto pumunta?

I typed, "Langya to. Anong oras pa lang,yan ibubungad mo?" I sent it and added, "Joke lang. What time?"

"Yes naman!" She replied with a lot of emojis in it. "After lunch naman ako pupunta eh. Don't worry."

"Okay. Leche kasi e. Kala ko si Carl na."
"Sorry naman. Basta punta ako dyan ah?"
"Oo na. Ge na. See you later,bhe."
"K fine. See ya!"

Tinatamad pa ko kumilos para maligo kaya nanuod muna ako habang hawak-hawak ko pa rin ang phone ko,umaasa pa rin na magcha-chat siya.

My phone vibrated but a dialogue box appeared and said, "Your battery is running low." Paasa talaga lahat oh. Kanina akala ko si Carl na,si Courtney lang pala. Tas ngayon ganto?

I ran upstairs,again,to get my charger and ran back to the living room again. I looked for a perfect spot to plug my phone in as I watch. Pagka-saksak na pagka-saksak pa lang ng phone ko,nag-vibrate na ito. Twice. One for the 'your phone is charging' and because of Carl's message.

At last!

"Goodmorning,babygirl. Sorry,medyo late ako nagising ah? Miss mo na ba ko? Ilang araw ko nang di nakikita baby ko :( can I come over there? Miss na kasi kita eh :(("

Luh pano to? Pupunta si Courtney tapos pupunta rin si Carl? Di naman pedeng pareho silang nandito since pareho silang importante and di ko mababalanse ang pakikipag-usap ko.

Sa huli,pumayag pa rin akong pumunta sya. Pero sabi nya sa dinner na lang daw sya pupunta para makasama na rin ang parents ko. Miss na miss na nga siguro ako kaya nagpupumilit pumunta. Actually,more than 3 days na rin kasi kaming nagkikita kaya ganun talaga.

After 1 hour of watching,natapos na rin yung cartoon na pinapanood ko. Tinapos ko talaga eh no? Wala kayong pake.

I turned the tv off and stood up to eat lunch. It's so sad that i'm having lunch alone since my brother is still having a class. I'm happy that he's coming home more often than before she intoduced her girlfriend. It's great.

"Ate,kumain ka na?" I asked our maid as she passed by me while I was eating. She shrugged. "Sabayan mo na ko kumain. Tutal mag-isa lang din naman ako."

"Masasanay ka rin ma'am." Pagbibiro nya habang paupo na sya sa tabi ko. "Palibhasa kasi my boyfriend kayo kaya di nyo alam pakiramdam nun. Ang sakit po kaya."

I stared at her and raised an eyebrow. She noticed it and looked at me. "Ate,pag may problema ka. Nandito lang ako. Sige lang."

"Sige ma'am." Then she smiled at me. Hanapan pa kita ng ka-relasyon eh.

Afterwards,I took a bath and went to my bedroom. I just stayed there while waiting for Courtney to come over here.

"Miss Zia may bisita po kayo!" Our maid shouted from downstairs. Maybe I should call her by her name,Ate Hazel.

I opened my bedroom's door and headed downstairs. "Ate,pag dumating tong babaeng to,papasukin mo na agad." I said while pointing to Courtney as she stood beside me. "Kahit nga padiretsuhin mo pa sa kwarto ko eh."

"Sige po,ma'am." She said and started to walk away.

"So kamusta,bhe?" Courtney greeted me while we were stepping the stairs up to my bedroom. We planned to stay there.

"Ayun. Ang boring pala. Ngayon ko lang na-realize." I said as I opened my bedroom's door. "Nga pala,ano nang nangyari sainyo ni Chris nung Friday night?"

"Chris?" She said then I nodded. She started looking around,acting like she's thinking. "Hinatid nya ko,we talked while we're on our way,then eventually,umuwi na rin sya."

"So? Kamusta naman sya?"
"What do you mean?" She sang,using the tune of Justin Bieber's song.

"You know,for your eye,how is he?"
"Alam mo,ngayon ko lang na-realize na gentlemen pala yun no? Isang taon tayong seatmates pero never ko pa naka-close yun. Tsaka,gwapo rin."

"Crush mo na sya nyan?"
"Di ah. Di ko pa nga close eh. Konting kembot pa bhe."

And we started talking about nonsense things. We also had a movie marathon while eating and we sang to a lot of songs while dancing. Yeah,we know that this should be done at night but we did it this way.

Courtney went back to her house. I waited for Carl. Hours had passed and he came.

The two of us talked and cuddle not until my parents came. We ate together before I sent Carl home.

It's nice having two important persons at home today.
