Chapter 31: Trip

"Goodbye Babygirl! Let's stay in-touch ha?" Carl said as he put me around his arms. "Ako lang ha? Dapat pagbalik niyo dito,ako pa rin. Okay? Stay safe,Zia!"

"Okay,Carl." I smiled to him,touched his face. "I'll miss your presence."

"Aw. I'll miss you too." He said. Then he hugged me very tight for the nth time.

"Tama na yan,Zia." Mom said then Carl freed me from his arms. "Male-late na tayo sa flight natin!"

I held my luggage and headed to where Mom,Dad and Kuya Diether was standing. From afar,I saw Carl waving at me and saying "Goodbye!" So I did too.

I checked my passport and my things before everything. I'm so excited for this trip. "At last,Mom! I'm going to Las Vegas!"

"I know right!" Mom said happily while hugging me. "Good thing we have our relatives' house there to live in for a week! I'm so happy!"

"It's just Las Vegas!" My brother interrupted. "Arte nyo masyado."

"You don't understand. So shut up." I said while pinching his bottom and upper lips to shut him up. "Just because you're a guy."

So yeah,we're going to stay there for 1 week. We're going to spend New Year with our realtives then we'll go back before the class resumes.

We hopped on to the plane's seat. It took hours before we landed.

"Nako. Andami kong makikita rito." Dad said while scratching his nape. "Mom,handa ba yang wallet mo para sa gamit-gamit?" Then he chuckled,teasing.

"Tumigil ka dyan. Gamitin mo sarili mong pera para dyan sa mga bibilihin mo. Pang-akin lang tong dala ko." At ayun. Binatukan ni Mommy si Daddy. Hay nako. Ang kulit talaga ng dalawang to. Pero minsan, sobrang seryoso naman. Yung tipong straight face palagi at hindi makausap.

I laughed very hard. It's very funny seeing my parents like this and at last,I saw them having fun. Our family's having fun.

We reached our relatives' house and they greeted, "Belated Merry Christmas Alexis Family!". They welcomed us warmly and i'm happy with it.

I saw my cousins there. Infant ones,Schooler, Teens, and grown-ups. I don't recognize most of them because I can't remember the last time I saw them.

They introduced theirselves to me but since I didn't care that much,I headed to the guest room.

I reached the 2nd floor and saw 4 rooms. I searched through all of it to see which one is the room that we'll stay in.

I finally saw it after 3 minutes. How did I? Because they said,there will be 3 beds in that room and they said,it's the smallest one. Like woah. Smallest one? You call this 'smallest one' and yet,it's 3x bigger than our comfort room.

I put my luggage down there at the corner and found the greatest bed. It's the one beside the window since I know that the biggest bed will be for our parents. Then I looked at the last bed,it's for my brother. It's the smallest one and it's near the door. I pity you,big brother.

Someone knocked at the door while I was chilling on my bed. "Oy panget!" He said as the door opened. "Bumaba ka daw dun! Maki-halubilo ka daw sakanila."

"Luh. Ayoko nga." I said as I sat on my bed. "Ikaw na lang. Bagay ka namang pang-entertainer eh." Then I laughed at him.

"Edi wow. Halika na!" He pulled me. "Ayaw mo? Ibibigay na daw nila yung wifi password pag bumaba ka." He said as he grabbed the doorknob to leave the room.

I suddenly remembered Carl. Oh right. I need that wifi. "Oy teka lang. Bababa na ko." Then I followed him. I can see him smiling. Pft. Di bagay. Mukha syang demonyo. Peace yo!

"Andito na sya." Kuya Diether said as he stood on the last step of the stairs. "Excited yata sa wifi password eh."

"Di ah!" I slapped his shoulder. Sinamaan nya ko ng tingin. Naks. Ang taray. Ano ka,babae? Pwede! "Joke lang po." Then I linked to his arms as we headed to the dining room. After all,it's time for dinner.

We talked and ate happily. Having my family complete is one of the greatest things in life. They gave me the password after eating and talking to them.

I headed to our bedroom after that. Nakita kong sumunod sakin si Kuya at humiga na sya sa kama nya. So ayun,tinanggap nya naman agad na dun sya pwe-pwesto. Kawawa talaga.

"Plano mo yatang mag-stay lang dito sa kwarto buong linggo ah?" He said, approaching me. "Shy type lang?"

"Wala ka nang pake dun,okay?"
"Okay po." Then he slipped his phone from his pocket and started browsing. I did the same but with my laptop.

Una kong ginawa ay binuksan ang Facebook ko at chinat ko si Carl. Kinamusta nya ko at nag-video call kami for 1 hour. Mabilis syang inantok kaya natulog agad. Ganun din ako.

I went downstairs to say 'Goodnight' to my parents. Busy pa kasi silang makipag-daldalan eh.

I returned to my den. (Not literally. By "den",I mean bed.) Then had a good night sleep. Las Vegas is awesome.
