Cisco had taken a cab home with Caitlin leaving Barry to deal with a very drunk Bethany.
"Barry you need to listen to this it's important. I think we should have the biggest wedding ever. Go all out! Screw going to a church. I want to have it on the beach. In Hawaii! That sounds so nice. I bet you could run us there. Maybe it could just be me and you getting married on that beach." Beth hummed hugging Barry's arm tight to her chest.
"Who says we're getting married?" Barry smiled down at her.
Beth pouted. "Well I love you, and you love me. Why wouldn't we?"
"All in good time Bethany." He replied kissed her forehead as he lead her up her apartment steps.
"I love you Barry Allen." She whispered taking a fist full of his shirt kissing him. "I love you so so much." She breathed pulling away so Barry could open the door.
"And I love you Bethany Stone." He smiled tugging her closer by her hips.
She grinned leaning her head against his chest as he held her close.
They swayed doing an awkward dance in Bethany's living room. Bethany hummed smiling as Barry lead them around the living room.
"Come on Beth. Let's get you to bed." Barry smiled leading her into her bedroom.
After quickly changing from the dressy clothes into more comfortable pajamas Barry tucked Bethany in bed.
"Will you stay?" She asked looking up at him with tired eyes.
"Sure." He smiled laying next to her pulling her closer.
After awhile Barry fell asleep, but Beth was awake and thirsty. Carefully she slipped out of his arms and walked into the kitchen swaying and giggling as she went still very much drunk.
She opened the fridge and pulled out the pitcher of water spilling some on the floor. She set it on the counter opening up one of the few cabinets she had when someone wrapped an arm around her waist and covering her mouth so she couldn't scream. In surprise Beth dropped the glass she held in her hand the shards scattering across the floor.
Barry was there the second the glass hit the floor. "Let her go!"
"It's time to go home Beth." A girl whispered in her ear. Bethany immediately knew who it was. Shocked she stilled for a second. Her eyes finding Barry who wasn't sure what to do.
"I wouldn't do anything crazy if I were you Barry Allen." Beth couldn't see the knife in her old friends hand, but she could feel it against her jugular as she swallowed thickly. The whole situation sobering her up.
Beth put her hands out to show Barry to stay back, but it only caused the attacker to shove Beth of balance pinning her to floor with both arms behind her back.
"No one move."
A pressure on Beth's mind made her body stay still. Barry stepped forward, but the kidnapper tossed green glowing tech that released a shock wave the rendered Barry unable to save Beth as his body convulsed on the ground.Tears came to Beth's eyes helplessly as she was dragged away from the man she loved.
Pulled through the fire escape the woman took her away, and Barry's worst nightmare came true. He couldn't save her.
Bethany caught a glimpse of white glossy hair before she was knocked out after being shoved in the back of an old car.
When Barry was able to move he wasn't sure what to do. Checking the time he saw it was too early to get Cisco and Caitlin. He ran around the apartment pulling on shoes, and a T-Shirt.
Sweeping the ally ways and each warehouse. With no luck he crashed to the ground in S.T.A.R Labs defeated.
Not wanting to he closed his eyes falling asleep on the tile floor.
------
"Barry!" He jolted awake looking up at Caitlin and Cisco who looked down at him concerned.
"Someone took Bethany." He stood up pulling at his hair as he started pacing the room.
"What do you mean someone took Bethany?"
"I mean someone knocked me out by electrocuting me, and then took her. Kidnapped her. Someone took Bethany!" Barry raged turning on Cisco. "And I couldn't stop it."
No one said anything. What could they say? Their friend was kidnapped.
"First things first. Let's see if we can track her somehow." Cisco said sitting down in the swivel chair typing away.
"You searched the city?" Cailtin asked Barry.
"Yes. I didn't reach outside the city though." Barry breathed.
"Start there I'll see if Joe can help out somehow."
Barry nodded racing out of the room.
"Cisco see if you can get access to the security footage by Beth's apartment. See if we can find anything there."
Cisco held up a thumb not taking his eyes off the computer screen.
Pulling her phone out she called Joe waiting impatiently for him to pick up.
"Cailtin, what's wrong?"
"Bethany was kidnapped."
*****
I have been gone too long.
I'm so sorry. I've been extremely busy and just needed a break to catch up.
I didn't expect to be gone for so long. I feel like I let you guys down.
But good news. I know what I'm doing with this finally. I'm sorry it's short, but I didn't really know how to keep this going.
Until next time.
