Saving Her

T H I R T Y - S I X

When Barry opened his eyes he was met with a blinding light. He tried to cover his eyes but he learned quickly that he was strapped down. Confused he tried to use the speed force, but he couldn't tap into it.

"I see you're up."

Barry tried to see who was talking, but he couldn't even move his head.

"Doctor we are ready to proceed."

"Barry?" A man came into view. "Can you focus?" He slapped Barry's cheek lightly. The man sighed.

"We will proceed."

He could feel something touching his arm, but wasn't sure what was going on. Blinded by light, and his senses screwy Barry had no idea where he was, or what was happening.

Barry cringed at a sting in his arm. Closing his eyes trying to move. "What're you doing?" He hissed.

"We are taking some DNA. Maybe we can learn some more about that speed force of yours."

"Who are you?" Barry said trying to find where the voice was coming from.

"The name is Doctor Iviticus Siward. Lead scientist in human weaponry."

"What have you done to me?"

"Oh nothing yet. You're not human. Who knows what the serums would do to you. No, you must be kept alive."

"Where's Bethany?"

"In the jungle. I have teams looking for her dear boy. You'll be reunited as soon as she is recovered. Go to sleep I'll be back for more later."

Thinking to himself he hoped, prayed, and wished that Beth was okay. He was losing focus fast. His eyelids became heavy, and in seconds he could barely open them. That's when everything went dark.

'Max something is wrong. Barry is here. My Barry'

'We stick to the plan. Get to the generator, and kill the power. Then meet at the next rendezvous point. Stray from the plan, and you screw us all over'

'Barry is worth more than your stupid plan. I'm shutting off the generators, and I'm finding him do the rest yourself. You have enough manpower' Bethany raged.

Cutting off her telepathic connections with everyone she continued forward. She could feel Max pushing on her barriers, but she was too far for him to do any real damage. Looking through the vents she quickly looked for Barry.

Growing more and more worried she finally came to the boiler room. Teleporting into the room she looked around for the main generator. Using her mind she quickly checked the perimeter for anyone.

Taking a deep breath she cut all the wires causing the whole building to go black. The back up generators slow to bring up the flood lights left Bethany to stumble in the dark as she tried to find Barry.

Pushing her mind out she swept each room for Barry. Finally locating him in one of the basement labs.

'Don't worry Barry I'm coming for you'
