"And that's the last of that." Barry said dusting his gloves causing the rest of his friends to laugh.

"Tina and Max are no longer a threat then." Bethany said her voice low. "Maybe we can undo what Siward did. Bring them back to our side?" Bethany said suddenly feeling hopeful.

"I've been looking at those serums that you had managed to get back." Caitlin started to say looking back at Bethany as they headed back to lab.

"And what did you find?"

"Well looking at the different chemicals in the compounds I believe the serums are meant start a chain reaction. Like when Barry was hit with lighting his body changed. Those serums mutate your DNA. I'm sorry Bethany, but we don't have the technology to fix that. Just like how we wouldn't be able to fix Barry if he wanted to be."

Bethany nodded, and there was a small silence.

"I'm sorry but I hate awkward silences, and I feel the need to speak up." Cisco said holding his hands up in defense. "Sorry."

"Beth-" Barry said resting a hand on her shoulder.

"Not now. Please? I just need a minute. I had hoped that I could undo whatever he did, but I should've known that it wasn't possible." She gave Barry a sad smile before walking out of the cortex.

"You think she'll be okay?" Caitlin asked putting her hands in her lab coat pockets.

"I'm sure she'll be fine. Barry please I know this is a really bad time, but Reverse Flash is still out there. Let her have some space, and we will deal with this problem of ours until she comes back. You've been gone enough we need you here." Dr. Wells said as he wheeled in front of the training room. "Now let's see if running to Brazil has done something for you."

Bethany kept her mind blank as she walked to her apartment. Kicking at stones on the street. She bumped into a stranger mumbling an apology despite their rude response.

Climbing up the steps she unlocked her apartment grabbing the key from its hidden spot above the door. She walked in plopping down on the couch staring at the table that still had pieces broken off from when that guy raided her apartment.

She heard a buzzing, and looked up to see her cellphone still on the TV stand where she had left it. Quickly she answered it thinking maybe something was wrong at the lab.

"Hello?"

"Hey Bethany. You don't sound too good. Something happen today?"

"Dad? It's so good to hear from you. I'm so sorry I haven't called. No everything is fine. Just stressed about work. You know how it is."

He chuckled on the other end. "Well we have a surprise for you."

"Oh?"

"Me and your mom just landed in Central City! We came out to see you!"

"Awe guys you didn't have to! I had planned on coming out to see you guys fairly soon." She lied feeling bad for not keeping in contact with her family, but it was for their own safety. They didn't know a psycho doctor was after her.

"We still have to get through security, but when we do where should we meet up? We don't have an address for you."

"Oh actually my apartment is up for sale. It's been broken into, and I just don't think I'm on the good side of town. Do you mind meeting at Star Labs? I kinda sorta work there now."

"Oh that's great honey!" Beth heard her mom struggling with something. "We can meet you there I'm sure a taxi can get us there."

"Okay cool. Well I will see you guys when you get there then."

"Bye sweetie!" She heard her mom say before hanging up. Bethany sighed not even sure if meeting at Star Labs was a good idea.

Looking at her phone she decided to call Barry.

"Hey Bethany. Ugh Barry is on the treadmill right now if you wanted to talk to him." Cisco answered.

"Actually I can ask you too I guess. My parents are coming and I may have told them to meet me at Star Labs? I hope it's not a big deal. I just. My apartment isn't safe, and I thought it would be weird to go to Barry's. I mean I plan on leaving right after they get there." She said playing with a stand of her hair.

"That's totally fine. You can meet them here, and then leave asap."

"Good." Bethany said scaring Cisco as she teleported back to the lab. "Because they're gonna be here in about twenty minutes."

"That is awesome. Yet terrifying." Cisco said smiling patting Beth on the back. "Glad you're back in good spirits."

Beth smiled. "Well I'm seeing my parents. I can't not be happy about that." She laughed.

Beth looked up watching Barry run. She didn't know what it was, but the way he moved made her watch in awe.

He stopped when he saw her. Rushing past her before coming back into the room without his suit on. "You wanna meet my parents?" Beth asked tilting her head slightly.

"I-I ugh." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, but I don't look nice..."

"They just pulled up I think." Cisco said from his place behind the desk. He pulled up the security footage and there stood my parents looking around with their suitcases next to them.

"Come on." Beth said tugging on Barry's arm as she lead him outside. "You look good. You always do." She smiled as the door opened and her parents turned to her with large smiles on their faces.

"Bethany!" Her mom cried pulling her into a hug as her dad smiled at her before turning his attention to Barry.

"And who is this?" He asked as Barry shuffled his feet nervously.

"I'm Barry Allen. It's nice to meet you both." He smiled holding out his hand for my dad to shake.

The man smiled pulling Barry into a hug instead of shaking his hand. "Shaking hands is for business." He said turning back to Bethany.

"So your apartment was broken into?"
