Chapter 47: Mientes Tan Bien

"Zabdi, ¿listo para salir al escenario?" Richard asks me as we're about to open the live show.

"Ah, si." I respond to him, snapping out of my thoughts. I lightly jump up and down to loosen up my tense body.

"Sé que te has estado sintiendo mal y está bien que no me quieras contar," he says. "Pero animo, vamos a cantar."

Alejandra Espinoza introduces the band composed of Alan, Richard, Johann, Aaron, and I to perform.

After all of the boys perform with their bands, it's time to see who's getting eliminated. It's everyone's least favorite part of La Banda.

Jaime, Christopher, Erick and Joel are the first four saved. There's only three spots left and I'm getting nervous by the second for Zabdiel. Richard and Johann are then called so that means one more gets to be saved. The bottom three are in danger.

"El ultimo chico salvado por la votación del público es... eres tú Zabdiel!" Alejandra says causing Noemi and I relief.

The bottom 3 are Alan, Aaron, and Yoandri but thankfully Yoandri gets saved by the fans. Alejandro votes for Alan to stay in the competition but Ricky votes otherwise. I don't want Alan to say goodbye to La Banda.

"Creo que Alan sería un perfecto-" Laura is cut off by all the screaming fans including myself. "Creo que Alan sería un perfecto solista y por eso me voy con Aaron."

Since I can't look at Alan's face anymore because it makes me even more sad, I look at the rest of the boys. The one who looks more affected is Christopher then it's Erick and Zabdiel.

Even though all of the boys finished with their performances, the show isn't quite over.

"Adiós, Noemí." I tell Zabdiel's mom and hug her. I need to get ready for the show Sal y Pimienta so I go to one of the studio's rooms to get my makeup re-touched.

"Cuídate, hija." Noemí tells me before leaving.

"Aquí estoy con Alan Matheus." I smile at the camera as I'm on live TV interviewing him. "¡Mi Alancito, te voy a extrañar un montón!"

"Yo también Camila, yo también." Alan says shyly still sad from his elimination.

"No te vayas triste, tú sabes que tienes tremendo talento y no sé si te diste cuenta pero eras unos de los favoritos de Alejandro Sanz!" I attempt at cheering him up.

He chuckles. "Admiro y respeto muchísimo a Alejandro."

"¡Espero escuchar mucho de ti como solista porque se que vas a ser un buen trabajo!"
