14.Bye Boy
The next morning, I had luckily returned to my human self; so I changed out of my ripped clothes. Scout followed me around the house as I ate and prepared for work; then we hopped into car with John, who stayed tense the whole time.
When we had arrive, I walked with Scout on my heels and we hurried to Dr. Jason's office. “Dr. Jason,” I called from the door.
“Oh, hello Mr. Otter. Come in,” he replied from behind his desk, not even looking up.
“Call me James please,” I told and he glanced up.
“Okay James, what is wrong?” he asked as he saw my sad expression.
“I have brought Scout back,” I answered as I looked at Scout, who was sitting patiently at my feet.
“Why? Did you not enjoy him?” questioned Dr. Jason.
“My wife seems to have allergy and she is unhappy. I wish I could keep him, but we can't,” I replied as I knelt down to pet Scout again.
“Oh, I understand. I hope she feels better,” he replied defiantly upset. “James, can you put him in a cage please?”
“I can,” I answered depressed before taking Scout into the back. I picked him up and carefully let him into a cage. “Bye Scout,” I mewed as tears rolled down my cheeks.
“Bye boy,” Scout whimpered as I hurried away to do my job.
The whole time I cleaned the cages, I felt extremely sad because I knew Scout was depressed too. I finally got around to his cage and I fed him, while we talked.
That night at home, I was depressed; even though, John and Anna were back to normal. Anna played with Annie and John was watching TV, while I sat beside him, moping. “What is wrong James?” asked John, still staring at the screen.
“I miss Scout,” I answered as I stared at the window, luckily I had convinced them to leave the drapes open; so the moonlight flowed through the window.
“Then go get him,” told John confused.
“I can't!” I yelled depressed, making him look at me.
“Why?” he asked very perplexed. It seemed that both only remember me bringing the dog home and nothing else.
“Anna and you will act weird again,” I hissed in his face.
“No, we won't,” he snapped quickly.
“Yes, you will! But it doesn't matter now!” I declared before hurrying to my room.
