15.Bob Wants a Favor?

A month passed and winter faded into spring. John and I still worked in the clinic; plus, Anna and Annie were very happy. One day while I working, I received a call from Anna's dad, Bob. “Hello James. This is Bob,” greeted Bob in a calm matter.

“Hello, how are you?” I asked over my cellphone, which was a very cool tool to have.

“I'm good, but can you do your father-in-law a favor?” he questioned politely.

“I guess so, but whats the favor?” I inquired very confused of why he would want something from me.

“Come to my house to have dinner with me. We can talk and get to know each other,” he answered quickly.

“What time, sir?” I asked as I glanced around to see where John was.

“Six sharp,” he replied. “Good-bye James. I heard a click and I closed my cellphone.

I headed over to John and told him about my discussion with Bob. “You can go James, but be careful,” he warned before going to continue his work. At five, we returned home and I told Anna of my plans. She first seemed worried; then she relaxed, saying it was a good idea for me to bond.

I quickly got ready; then I drove myself to Bob's house, where he met me at the front porch. “Thank you for inviting me over,” I greeted as I shook his hand. I took more notice of how he compared to Anna as we started in. He was taller than her and his hair was a deep black instead of red likes hers. His eyes were brown though; but he was huge in size, but not fat.

“You're welcome. Let's go inside and eat,” he replied as he lead me into the house and to a table full of savory meat. “Eat as much as you like and we can talk later,” he commanded and we each ate a lot happily. About a hour later, we finished and headed for his living room. “So James, how have you been doing since the transformation?” he asked as we sat on his couch.

“I have been doing just fine,” I answered somewhat confused of why he would bring this thing up.

“So how have your job been going?” he questioned as he closely stared at me.

“Very good,” I yawned as my eyes started to slightly close.

“You look tired. James, I think you should stay here tonight,” he replied as he stood and started towards me.

“No, I should go ho...” I started; then the room began spinning. “Woa!” I fell back onto the couch and my eyes closed a little more.

“You should stay here. I mean it James. I'll call Anna and tell her,” he told before he hurried away to make the call. He replied quickly and told, “Anna agreed that you should stay here tonight. Come on. I have a guest room that you can sleep in.” He led me to the room, where I eagerly laid down to sleep.
