20.You Better Explain!
A hour later Anna came to my room with a tray of food. “James, I brought you...James!” she exclaimed as she dropped the tray.
“What!” I yelled as I woke. I stood and ran to the mirror. “NO!” I exclaimed as I saw my fur covered human-self.
“John! Get up here now!” she yelled frantically as she didn't take her eyes off me.
“Anna, it is ok,” I promised in a calming voice; then I saw John rush into the room and give me a disapproving look. “John, I'm fine.”
“Could he be?” Anna wept.
“No, it is too soon,” John answered as he put an arm around Anna.
“I can explain...OW!” I yelped as I folded over in pain.
“You better explain!” John snapped as he knelt down to see my face.
“I...OW!” I screamed as I got very mad and changed into a full lion.
“Anna get the rock,” John whispered. She quickly received it and laid it by my paws.
I quickly wrote, 'Bob has a magic shot. He gave me one; so when I turn into a lion, he can turn me back part way. Be careful what you say or do because Bob has wired this place with cameras. I left a letter in the bathroom.' I started to cried.
Anna received the letter and as she read it, tears poured down her cheeks. “So he found out our secret,” John said and I nodded.
'I must sleep; so I'm ready to leave. I'm going to leave early; so good-bye,' I etched sadly; then I hopped onto the bed and fell asleep.
