52.Milly and Tigger, Love Cats

“Hello dear, can I help you?” Anna asked as I entered the kitchen.

“Hello honey,” I purred. “I need two boxes of meat please.”

“Sure,” she replied as she went into the giant fridge and pulled two out. “James, do you need me to carry this one?” she asked as she followed me out the door.

“No. Tigger can bring it,” I answered as I dropped my rope. She put the box down before going back inside. “Tigger take this,” I commanded as I gave him a rope. “Now follow the sound of my paw-steps.” I started pulling my box towards the barn and Tigger slowly followed a couple feet behind. “Stay here,” I roared before I rushed inside with my box. I unlocked Milly's stall and dumped the box in there before I returned to Tigger. We dumped his box and both ate our fill.

“What did your wife want?” he asked when he was done.

“Oh, it was nothing,” I answered as I licked my lips.

“Can Milly come out here?” he asked as he sat up and sniffed the air.

“Yea, I'll go get her,” I replied before I went back inside the barn. “Milly, stand up,” I commanded as I nudged her. She stood, but only to wobbled and fall down again. She looked at me with her big eyes filled with tears. “Lean on me,” I said and she stood again. She leaned against me and we slowly walked to Tigger.

“Hello Milly,” Tigger greeted as we laid down.

“Hi dear,” she purred as she pressed her face into his mane.

“Milly, where is your tail?” he asked as he used his tail to search her body.

“It is gone,” she wept as she look at him.

“Why?” he inquired quickly.

“They cut it off,” she told as tears rolled through her fur.

“Why?” he roared angrily.

“Tigger, my friends had too; otherwise, it would have killed her,” I explained calmy.

“Oh?” Tigger said sadly as he pressed his face against hers. “I love you, Milly.”

“Listen carefully. Both of you are going to need to rely on the other for help now. Tigger, you will have to give Milly support until she can keep her balance; while Milly, you must guide Tigger,” I told and they nodded; so I left them.

I ran into the house and peeked in Annie's room, where she was fast asleep. I walked to the next room and slipped inside. Anna lay peacefully on the bed sleeping; so I laid at the end and fell asleep.
