23.Don't Tell

I woke up as few hours later, happily had changed all the way back to human. I threw my cape around my shoulders again and hurried back to the living room. My parents were sitting on the couch, discussing about what I had told my father; so I quietly sat near them. “Hello Mom and Dad,” I greeted as they turned to look at me.

“Hi,” they replied as they studied me.

“Mom, can you invite Anna and John over?” I asked quickly and she nodded. “Okay, can you both promise not to tell anyone that I'm here? Not even Anna and John,” I pleaded.

“Alright,” they agreed as they looked at me puzzled.

“Dad, do you have some spare clothes?” I asked as I glanced at the rags I wore.

“Yes son,” he replied before he hurried to get them. He returned a few minutes later and I went upstairs to change. When I finally came back, my mom had already left and my dad was cooking lunch.

A few more minutes passed and my mom returned. “Well, it is all set. John and Anna are coming over for supper,” she announced and I gave her a huge hug.
