53.Something Wrong?

“James!” Anna yelled as she accidentally kicked me, when she woke.

“Hello sweetheart,” I purred as I stood and gently rubbed myself against her legs.

“What are you doing in here?” she asked as she stared down at me.

“Sleeping,” I purred as I glanced up. “What else do you do in a bedroom?”

“Oh.,” she laughed as she knelt down and hugged me. “Did you need something before your cat nap?”

“Nope,” I answered before I left her room and headed outside. I padded across the field and into the barn. “Hello John,” I greeted as I laid down beside him.

“Hi,” he replied as he removed the bandage from Milly's tiny tail.

“Is it healed?” I asked as I sniffed it and Milly gave me a look.

“Yes, but she will have to be careful,” John answered as he stood up; then he left me with her.

“Milly,” I greeted as she unsteadily stood up.

“Hello,” she replied as she took a tiny step.

“Be careful okay?” I asked as she took another.

“I will, sir,” she replied as she carefully walked into her stall.

I unlocked Tigger's stall and asked, “Do you two want something to eat?”

“It would be nice,” Milly replied as she glanced at me.

“Tigger, will you help me?” I inquired as I moved towards the entrance of the barn.

“I will go,” Milly spoke as she came towards me.

“Are you sure? You're still weak, dear,” Tigger wondered as he slowly made his way to here.

“Yes. It will be good practice,” she answered as she now stood next to me.

“All right. Tigger, meet us at the big rock,” I commanded before Milly and I headed to the house. “Stay here,” I told her before I went inside.

“I thought you would be coming soon; so I got it all ready,” John told as he carried two boxes out the door and set them on the ground.

Milly and I pulled the boxes, but I soon took hers and pulled it too. When we reached the rock, I laid down exhausted and Milly dumped the meat. Tigger and her ate to their heart's content, while I lay there too tired to move. “Are you going to eat?” Milly asked as she pushed some food towards me.

“No,” I said before I fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning, still on the rock; but Tigger and Milly were gone and Dr. Jason was kneeling over me. “James, are you okay?” he asked as he carefully studied me.

“Yea, I'm just tired,” I replied as I stood, but I fell back down from exhaustion; even though, I had slept all evening and through the night.
