3rd person's POV:

Paule was still screaming the name of her friend,on the other line tho the poor thing had passed out due to coldness.

Panic rose through Paule, as she pressed harder on the gas pedal. Her car giving her directions, was passing houses, people and shops, faster than the wind itself.

Inside the car she was struggling not to cry, she knew she had to be strong to get there and save her one half. And about sixteen minutes later she was running out of the car.

Picking up her sister and fastening her in the passenger seat next to her. Running to the back of the car she retrieved two small blankets, with which she proceeded to tuck Katy in. She then ran back to the driver's side and got the engine started again.

Blasting hot air through the ventilation system, she pointed it all to the one passed out next to her. She knew she couldn't get her home, the only right destination had to be the hospital.

And she knew that well enough. So she once again speed through the busy city, not even caring about getting caught over speed limit. All what she wanted was to get the one next to her comfort as soon as possible.

The ride to the closest hospital wasn't long. Paule had almost broken the doors open when she ran in, her sleeping best friend carefully caught in her hand. The lady at the desk ran up to them.

Nurses and doctors rushed to get Katy in a rolling bed ready to take her somewhere she could receive help. Brief questions were asked. She was in the rain all alone for over an hour. Was what Paule explained.

Why and how were only able to be answered by one. And that one wasn't awake yet. Paule followed the small rolling bed until she was pushed out of a room and locked away from accessing it.

The only thing she could do was sit and wait. What for? A miracle. It had been half an hour when Paule was finally collected enough to be able to call Katy's mom and tell her what happened.

The news panicked yet another person. Who too, rushed to the hospital. Now, both women had been sitting side to side for an hour when finally a nurse came out calling for Katy's family. Both got up and went to her.

Scared, and hopeful were their dominant feelings, sadness was there, pain too, but the tiny hope they had was enough to keep them going.

The nurse had a neutral expression. Nothing could be read from her, only the words who had been so longly waited were the ones that mattered.

"She suffered from hypothermia, we managed to get her to a steady state. Now only she can wake up. It might take an hour, a day, a week or even a month. It's in her hands. "

The news had started by boosting the two's happiness but as the nurse continued on their sadness came back. A week or a month? Was there any proof she would ever wake up?

Each women's smile dropped at the mention of the time it would take for the girl's recovery. How long was she gonna take? How many moments was she gonna miss? How much laugher was gonna be forgotten? Questions were flying in Paule's head as she collapsed to the ground.

Tears streaming down her face, staining her cheeks, her lips, her face. Her soul was crushed. Lost was her sister. And she couldn't do anything but blame herself. Maybe, just Maybe if she had sped a little more. She could have rescued her.

Paule's POV:

Why? Why couldn't I have driven faster? Been awake earlier? What was the cause of her going out? In the time I was making fun of her for actually going on a jog I could have sped a bit more.

I-I could have saved her. This is all my fault. Somehow the room started getting dizzy around me. And soon enough I felt myself hitting something hard, as darkness took over. Oh god please let me go. Maybe then I could reunite with her.

Katy's mom's POV:

A high pitched scream was heard as Paule hit the ground. I was frozen on spot. The scream wouldn't stop and I had no idea where it came from. Until my throat started hurting. The nurse who was heading back in turned around quickly finding the poor thing lying on the floor.

Collecting myself I shut my mouth and helped get her on a bed. There she was kept for some time until she finally woke up.

"Hey you, scared me honey don't ever do that again"

"What happened?"

"They said you had too much of a rush of feelings, overwhelmed you, so yeah your body shut off for " I stopped checking my watch." An hour"
