3rd Person's POV:

Katy won, partly thanks to Paule who boosted up her confidence. They came back home with big winning trophies in the back seat of the car. And another victory for their unbreakable friendship.

Katy called Abby on their way telling her how she won and all. They then stopped to get ice cream cause winners need candy don't they? After ice cream, Katy dropped Paule at her house to get changed cause they were going to the gym.

The one place where Paule loved to be at more than anywhere else. It was their routine for this exact day of the week (Saturday) they go to competition, come back and off to the gym. It was their special day. On the regular week days they each go to their own place cause their times don't fit into the other's schedule.

When the arrive there Paule runs to the door almost knocking off twenty persons. That's just how excited she gets when she goes here. She starts off with a quick warm up.

And makes a run for the treadmill while Katy is just entering the front doors. As Paule is running Katy just chooses to be lazy and only stretch out. So she sits down on the ground and starts.

An hour and a half later Paule is still going from a machine to the other more excited than a child on Christmas, and Katy, well she's just laying down on her stomach, legs open in a grand-ecart as she scrolls through her tumblr feeds. She's more than just bored and is falling asleep.

It has been another hour since Katy has fallen asleep and Paule finally decides it's enough for today. She wakes up the sleeping girl and they both go back home to get showered.

But Paule's surprise is her parents are coming back in an hour so she has to be ready by then. And as perfect as can be. Only what she doesn't know, is they are coming with news. News that won't maker her happy.

Paule's POV:

Mother and Father come through the doors as I am walking to the kitchen fully dressed and wanting a cup of water.

"Mother, Father, how was your trip?" I asked acting like I give a damn about them sitting around with stuck up and self centered humans.

"Great dear " mother replied.

"Paule, take a seat, your mother and I would like to discuss a matter with you." Father said.

Uh-oh that does not sound like good news. At all. I quickly took a seat, waiting for what was to come.

"You know how you're going to be eighteen in two month right?"

I nod my head, "Use your words Paule" mother oh so not kindly reminded me.

"Yes father."

"Well," he stood up looking out the window and continued. "You have been promised in marriage,"

"EXCUSE ME" I yelled up.

"Watch your tone!" Mother snapped.

"Are you serious?! How could you promise me in marriage to someone I didn't even meet! Someone I never saw?! How could you! And without even telling me?!"

"You do know him! And it's for your own good" Mother cuts me off.

"My own good? Have you gone mad? I'll be eighteen for goodness sake! You barely let me stay home alone now. And you just go and promise me in marriage?!"

" He's Lincoln Pierce, you met him, great gentleman, he'll be here tomorrow to take you out Paule."

"I don't even know him! All I did was meet him once! Once father! I don't love him! And I don't accept you marrying me to someone I have no feelings for."

"THERES NO SUCH THING AS LOVE PAULE! IT ONLY EXSITS IN MOVIES!" He yelled at my face.

I turned on my heels running up to my room. On my way to the stairs I heard him tell me " The marriage is on your birthday"

I quickly ran up to my room as tears escaped my eyes. Jumping on my bed I hid my face in my pillows hugging them as sobs left my lips.

A knock on the door was heard an I didn't even bother looking up. Mother's voice was heard as she spoke after she had entered.

"Paule there's no finding love in the real world. At least not in our society, you get married to a wealthy man, have children and live happy. That's how it goes. That's how it went for your father and I"

"There is love! And maybe that's why you and him are so selfish and arrogant! I was not the fruit of love and passion, but only want and need. That's why you just could so easily promise me to someone who I had never met. Now get out of my room. I want to see none of your faces." I finished pushing her out of my room and locking the door.

For once in my life I had stood up to my parents. And it felt great.
