I surprise myself, sometimes, when I do something completely opposite of what I would naturally do. For example, when I meet someone knew, the first thing I notice is appearance. I'm looking at your hair, greasy no thank you.  I'm looking at what you're wearing, trying to imagine what you would look like underneath.  I'm trying to figure out if you're a no care kind of person or if you care a little too much about what mother thinks.  I'm looking at you and I'm already piecing together your life story.

I judge and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I need to like what I'm seeing in order to know what product I'm about to buy.

I'm not paying attention to our conversation, wondering if the flow is there or not.

I'm not trying to make a good impression by saying something clearly prolific.

---Meeting Levi for the first time at the school that day, I definitely wasn't looking.

If I was, I would have fallen hard for those dimples and those small freckles that sat on the bridge of his nose. ----I blame the hot flashes and the aftermath of binge drinking.

'Officer Knight' is attractive, attractive, and he'd probably be the goody two shoes you'd want to bring home to mother.

I'm not looking for someone to bring home to her.

He's got those dark chocolate eyes, and a brown pompadour mid fade undercut. You know the one you see male runway models rocking with pomped up hair.

I wanted to run my fingers through it.....oh the restraint!

I pressed a finger to my lip, admiring Levi as he sat behind his desk.

He leaned back in the chair, just the slightest bit.  Then he looked up at me with an intense expression, "Stop looking at me."

I was caught.

"I didn't know it was a crime," I smiled, tucking my legs underneath me. "Are you gonna cuff me again?"

The side of his mouth quirks up, "I could always ask asked Chief to do it."

Well played....

"I was just tryin' to figure out how old are you...." When I first met him I said he looked too old to be a student, but---he doesn't look it by that much.  "I'm curious."

"Let's stick to what you should know. Age has nothing to do with your community service."

"Seems like someone is uncomfortable by the topic of age," I teased. "Early thirties can't be that bad, Officer Knight."

"I'm not 30."

"29?"

"Maisie---"He  warned, not wanting to participate in my guesing games.

"Must be 29 then," I said with a teasing lilt to my voice. "But then again by the looks of those crow's feet you could be much older."

Officer Knight stood up, "Do you ever stop talking?" He could pretend all he wants that my questions annoy him but I know he's entertained by my little games. It's probably been the most entertainment he's had in this small, sad office, in a very long time.
