PLS PUT YOUR PLAYLIST HERE
While everything was tense with Levi at home, I knew I had to start thinking about what I want my future to look like.
I was eventually cleared to return to school and studies were going to be my first focus. I knew I had to take school more seriously if I wanted to get a job and an apartment.
I knew what I had to do.
"Well looks like you didn't die after all," Travis called out from behind me as I was walking toward the stairs.
I halted at the top of the stairs and turned around to greet him. "Look who's not in jail. Is this the longest you've ever been away from the slammer?"
I hugged him.
"Yesterday actually," he laughed once then pulled away from me. "Spent maybe an hour and then my dad showed up."
"Let me guess, you won't be grounded for your offenses."
"My dad said not to do it again and that was it."
I sighed, "You've got one lucky life, Trav."
"Yea. Where have you been? People were starting to think you died."
"There was a lot of stupid drama at home but I'm back now."--- Trying to get my life in order.
"Is it safe to say I missed you?"
"You mean missed me in your bed."
"Yea," he admitted. "Mostly that."
I smiled and shooed him with my hands. "Go think about something else. I've got class."
"Fine, but lunch later?"
"Maybe, I may have stuff to do." We said goodbye and I went about my business, walking down the stairs to go to my first class.
I received numerous looks from people as they realized I was back and it bothered me. If Travis was right and people thought I was dead, I'd get why they would stare. I was paranoid though because I was worried they could be looking for a whole slew of other reasons.
What if people knew about Sterling?
I felt uncomfortable and almost violated all over again,
As I was walking to my first class, I was surprised to see Levi was here, walking towards me. He was wearing his uniform which made me feel even more uncomfortable. We met halfway.
