Not too long ago I was alone.
Beatened, and battered. Strugglling everyday to find acceptance. Acceptance from a mother who never thought I was good enough. And men who I never let stick around. Afterall, most of them leave sunrise by anyway.
It wasn't until I hit rock bottom, facing prison time that I got a second chance. And with that chance came a guy. A police officer who couldn't give up on me.
He fought for me.
Protected me from my past.
Showed me kindness and understanding.
And then love.
But that was in the past and things are much different now. For one, he's gone.
I'm back at square one again.
