PLS PUT YOUR PLAYLIST HERE
I did not get the reaction I was looking for from Levi in the kitchen. I thought I was surely winning up until he put me in a onesie and called me 'cute as a button.'
Cute is okay if you are under 5.
I'm not 5.
I walked into the bathroom just as Levi was busily shaving. "Hey you."
He moved the shaver away from his face and looked back at me in the mirror. "Hi. What's going on?"
I put my hands on my hips, "I'm really bored Levingston.
"Watch T.V."
"No silly boy, I want to play a game."
His eyes narrowed in suspicion, "A game....I don't like when you have ideas." I could tell that he was hesitant to agree to play the game and I couldn't blame him. He wasn't expecting what happened in the kitchen that glorious day.
"When will you be home tonight?" I asked.
He looked at me sideways, "I'm supposed to be off at 11 but you know that can change."
Ah, the unpredictability of his job requirements. I bet he's happy today of all days that his job is unpredictable at times.
He should be scared.
I want him to be scared.
It will make this oh so much more fun for me!
"Okay well when you get back we can play my game. I can wait up."
"Maisie, what's the game?" He questioned, turning right around to look at me directly.
Intense!
"It's just a little game called, Poker." I said, leaning forward to wipe some of the shaving cream that was underneath his eye. "We'll play a game of good ole Strip Poker. There are no chips and every time one of us asks a question, one article is removed." I wiped the shaving cream I got on my finger into his shirt and gave his shoulder a gentle pat. "I think we are both old enough to handle this maturely, right?"
Levi looked down at his shirt and then looked up at me again. "Seems like a highly inappropriate game to be playing, Maisie."
I folded my arms across my chest. "Levingston, it's a game. Don't make this into a bigger deal then it needs to be."
It's a game between two very mature adults.
