"I did not ask for the things that I've been through, and I certainly did not ask my mind to paint and repaint the pictures in flashback form" –Michelle Groth
"Stay very still," Mr. Pratt said as he held a knife near my face.
"Please don't," I whimpered. I didn't know what he was going to do with it.
Gut me.
Cut me.
"Shh, you're gonna like it." Mr. Pratt touched my cheek with the tip of the blade then lightly swept the blade along my cheek bone.
---Regardless of him finding something very sexual about playing with a knife, it wasn't a joke. It was serious and one move, one shift of my body could result in gettin' sliced.
I was transfixed watching the blade. He ran the blade past the corner of my jaw and onto the outside of my neck.
He moaned.
Mr. Pratt stopped the knife right on my throat and applied pressure.
I winced in pain.
He was intentionally inflicting pain for his own pleasure
"Mmm," he moaned again.
It was scary knowing one slight movement could essentially kill me. The only thing I could count on in this very movement is myself. I had to watch that knife like a hawk and not move. That's all I was in control of.
Mr. Pratt quirked an eyebrow then leaned forward, his tongue licking my throat. "Such sweet blood."
Oh no.
I was actually bleeding?
Was this it?
Was I going to die?
Mr. Pratt leaned back and caught glimpse of my panickin' expression. He said, "Just a flesh wound." Mr. Pratt chuckled then looked down at the blade. He eyed it. "I wonder what would happen if----"
Out of nowhere he just----cut my arm. Leaving a long, deep, bleeding, open wound in its wake.
**
Deep breaths turn into hyperventilation.
My chest tightens.
Suffocation sets in.
I'm murmuring and starting to spew nonsense.
"Nobody can save me."
"Sterling's coming to kill me."
"Stop! Please you're hurting me!"
My words are jumbled.
My thoughts are scattered.
I can't breathe!
"Maisie, come on, look at me!" Levi hands cuff my cheeks. "Come on, baby. Hey!"
Dizziness fogs my head.
I can hear him calling for me!
Levi I'm here!
