Unknown Reason

Inupo ni Felix si Samantha sa unang bench na nadaanan nila. Iyak pa rin ng iyak ang dalaga. She keeps on wiping her eyes by using both of her hands. Para siyang bata kung umiyak at kung paano niya punasan ang luha niya.

He knelt down in front of her. Inalis niya ang dalawang kamay ng dalaga sa mukha nito. He cupped her face then using his thumbs, he wiped the tears off of her. She was sobbing like a kid. Taas baba ang balikat nito sa bawat paghikbi niya.

He gave her a sweet smile when she looked at him. Then with a pleading tone he asked her to stop crying. "I'm sorry," he then added.

Pouting, she nodded as a response. He muttered his thanks to nobody then sat beside her.

Pinupunasan ni Samantha ang ilalim ng ilong niya. Felix chuckled seeing her do that. Kumuha siya ng panyo at binuklat ito. Nilapat niya iyon sa ilalim ng ilong ng dalaga. "Blow."

She did. Sipong sipon ito dahil sa pag-iyak. When she stopped clearing her nose, he folded his handkerchief and put it in his pocket. "Are you okay now?"

She nodded vigorously. Nanatiling nakatungo ang ulo ng dalaga. It's obvious that she's still blitzed. Her unsteady head says so. Her head is sometimes turning to her right then it'll turn to her left after. Minsan tutumba sa harap pagkatapos ay aayos ito ng upo. Then the cycle repeats. Sighing he gently pulled her head to his shoulder. He locked her head on top of it by not removing his hand on top of her head.

Hindi naman nagpumiglas ang dalaga. She stayed there quietly. Like a good kid.

"Felix," she called out, almost on a hushed voice. He hummed his response. "Matututunan mo kaya akong mahalin?"

He couldn't answer. He was surprised with her question.

Matututunan?

Will he?

He don't know.

His feelings for her was nothing compared to Queenie. He's willing to throw his self off a cliff if that's what Queenie wants. He'll do everything for her. He's willing to get hurt for her. He's willing to sacrifice everything for her. Ganun na ba siya kay Samantha?

Well, he's caring for her. He was even worried for her. Does that mean he loves her? Is it love already? Isn't it too sudden to call it love?

Then he remembered that time when he forgot his date with Samantha. If it was with Queenie, he'll probably won't forget it. Baka mas maaga pa siyang nakarating sa tagpuan nila kung nagkataon. He'll prepare for sure. But he didn't do that with Samantha. Inaya nga niya itong mag-date out of impulse. The second time he asked her to go out was sudden, too. Hindi siya nakapaghanda para rito. That would never happen with Queenie.

He gained his senses back when he heard Samantha called his name in a sleepy voice. Nang silipin niya ang mukha nito, nakita niya itong tulog na.

Napangiti ang binata. Makita lang niya ang mahimbing na pagtulog ni Samantha, sapat na sa kanya.

For an unknown reason, he suddenly hummed the song Like a Rose by A1. Naalala niya siguro na kinakanta ito ng dalaga kanina.

Amethyst smiled when she saw the two. What made her more at ease is when she heard Felix hummed a song, like singing a lullaby for Samantha.

Being contented with what she saw, she stealthily walked backwards away from Felix and Samantha, then she felt her back hit something which threw her out of her balance. A manly hand caught her arm that prevented her from falling completely to the ground. Pagtingin niya sa kaliwa niya para makita kung sino ang nakahawak sa kanya, nagulat siya ng makita niya si Archie.
