"S-Seryoso ka ba?"

"Oo naman," Samuelson answered right away. "You're the first girl who made me look her way without even trying."

Hindi makapagsalita si Samantha. Kahit sinong nasa lamesang iyon ay hindi nagawang makapagsalita, pare-parehong naghihintay ng isasagot ni Samantha. Lalo na si Felix. With his hand formed into a ball, he waited for Samantha to speak.

"Reject him," Felix said at the back of his mind. "Ako ang mahal mo, di ba?"

"Don't you think you fall too fast?" Asked Amethyst, saving Samantha the burden of answering.

"Yeah. I'm quite surprised myself," Samuelson said. "This will sound so lame but..." He looked at Samantha and genuinely smiled at her. "This is a first for me. When I said you're the first girl who made feel like this, I mean it. I really like you."

Samantha was lost for word. This is a first for her, too! This is the first time that someone as good-looking as Samuelson confessed to her. Sobrang ganda siguro talaga ng pagkaka-ayos sa kanya ni Alessandra para magkagusto ang binata sa kanya.

"You're just physically attracted." Napatingin ang dalaga kay Felix nang magsalita ito. Hindi nya alam kung imahinasyon lang ba nya ito pero parang may galit sa tono ng pananalita nito. "Samantha is dazzling. That's why you like her."

"No. That's not it. I'm sure," Samuelson confidently countered. "There's something different about her. Something that piqued my interest."

"Then you're just curious. You don't seriously like her."

"Why does it sound as if you don't want me to like her? Ano ka ba nya?"

Samuelson didn't mean to counter like that. But somehow it ticked Felix off. Nakakainsulto ang tinanong nito. Ano nga ba sya ni Samantha? They don't have any relationship at all.

"M-Magkaibigan kami," Samantha answered, choking in her own words. Kahit sya ang nagsabi, masakit pa rin pala.

"We're fucking not. Stop assuming." Definitely not. We're not just fucking friends. Damn it.

But Samantha got the wrong idea. Nasaktan sya sa sinabi ng binata sa kanya. Napakagat sya ng labi upang pigilan ang sariling umiyak. Pero hindi nya nagawa. While looking at Felix, tears escaped from her eyes, she wasn't even aware of.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Samuelson nang makita ang pagluhang iyon ni Samantha. At that moment, he just felt... hurt.

Amethyst got mad. Kahit sina Romeo at Alessandra. But Amethyst was the first to react.

"Felix, that was just plain harsh!" Amethyst yelled, getting the attention of other guests.

Felix was too surprised to even speak.

He saw it again.

Those tears.

And it's all because of him again. It is his fault all over again.

"What's happening here?" Scarlet asked as she approached their table. Zayn was beside her, looking at all of them with worry and disappointment.

Felix reached out for Samantha and said,"S-Samantha, I didn't mean---"

Samantha stood up, faced Scarlet and Zayn, thanked them for the night, then stormed out of the event.

Amethyst's automatically followed her, together with Alessandra, Archie, and Romeo. Samuelson did the same as he stood up, hastily gave his regards to the hosts, and followed Samantha.
