A long day part 1

Jacob was in the middle of treating a patient when he felt his mobile vibrate in his right pocket. Their wasn't much more he could do for the patient who was waiting for an X-Ray, so he left cubicles and looked at his phone.

"Mum?" He said to himself reading her name on the screen. Jacob answered it straight away, "Hello, mum?" He hadn't heard from his mother in a few months after she'd moved away to Cornwall.
"Jacob! My boy, I've missed you so much." Martha, Jacob's mum, smiled into the phone. Connie noticed Jacob on the phone in the middle of work and was annoyed at him. She walked up to him straight away.
"Jacob, what do you think your doing? Your supposed to be working." Connie put her hands on her hips.
Jacob wasn't listening and laughed at the conversation he and his mum were enjoying. "Yeah hang on a sec babe."
"No I will not hang on a sec. Jacob my office now." Jacob noticed her harsh tone and ended the conversation with his mum, "I'll call you back mum." He said putting the phone down.

Jacob followed Connie to her office not knowing why she was so annoyed about something so small. Jacob shut the door behind him. "That better have been an important phone call." Connie began standing behind her desk.
"Lighten up Con. It was my mum, I hadn't heard from her in ages."
"So you thought you'd have a nice little conversation with her in the middle of my extremely busy department." Connie wasn't backing down.
"Woah, chill Connie it won't happen again alright." Jacob rolled his eyes and turned his back on her.
"Ok let's get something straight, sleeping with me does not give you privileges in the ED!" Connie shouted, angry at him for thinking he can get special treatment off of her. Jacob turned his head to look at her and then walked out of her office slamming the door behind him.
