"Mum! I heard about what happened are you ok?" Grace had run through the curtains and hugged her mother tightly without noticing Jacob on the bed.
"Yes Gracie I'm fine. I love you darling." Connie hugged her daughter closer towards her.
"Are you allowed to go home now?" Grace looked up at her mother. She then noticed Jacob lying on the bed watching the pair.
"Hey firecracker."
"Hi Jacob." She said with no emotion.
"Urm yes Gracie we can go now." Just as the two were walking out of the room Connie turned round to Jacob, "Get well soon." She said with a half smile.
Jacob slumped his head into the pillows angry and frustrated that Grace, a little girl, was the reason why he couldn't be with the one woman he wanted more than anything else.
Grace was in bed and Connie sat on the sofa with tears springing at her eyes. Why did she have to snap at Jacob like that she knew he saved her and yet she was angry at him for nothing. She felt so guilty for how she had treated him. The tears began to trickle down her cheeks as once again her thoughts were all about one guy- Jacob masters.
