Chapter Ten: We have a date with Disney

For some reason, dating a superstar doesn't really interest people a few days after the announcement. And I will admit I've never been more greatful for anything my life. Well, maybe not as greatful as the invention of coffee, but that's not the point. For about a week after Jayden announced the news to the whole wide world that we were 'dating' I'd been getting glances everywhere I went. While I was out shopping for food because we had nothing to eat that would interest even a mouse our apartment, and I got asked if I would sign someone's receipt. I'm not going to lie and say it wasn't weird, because it felt like I was wearing somebody else's skin, not my own.

But after the news found something more interesting to broadcast across the nation, my life went back to being somewhat normal. I still got the occasional stare whenever I crossed the street, but it was better then being stopped every five steps and being asked what kind of aftershave Jayden wore to bed.

I had a full day of classes the day that Jorden finally grew a pair and asked Zoe out. Taylor and I were just heading to our final class together when Zoe came tearing round the corner, her brown her flying in all directions, her eyes shining and her cheeks flushed with excitement. She barrowled into us, almost sending me into the wall, but she was too excited to notice. She rambled something at Taylor in what sounded like jibbarish and Taylor took off running down the hall, letting out a squeal of exsitment herself. I grabbed hold of Zoe's arm, yanking her to a hault as she spun around in extatcic circles.

"What's going on?" I asked, pressing my hands down hard on her shoulders to keep her still, "are 5sos coming to Hollywood or something?" Zoe stopped bouncing for half a second, waving me off.

"No Spencer! My life does not revolve around Luke Hemmings all the time!"

"Just 95% of the time?" I asked and she sent me an annoyed look.

"Shut up. Look, Jorden just asked me out!" I blinked at her a few times.

"I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" I asked, "I'm not sure if I heard you right." Zoe riled her eyes.

"You heard me Spence! He did it! Jorden asked me out!" A smile spread across my face and I reached out and and gave her a sideways hug as we were squeezing our way through the crowded hallways, heading for the last classes of the day.

"Zoe that's brilliant! Congratulations!" Zoe beamed at me.

"Thanks! So he wants to take me out tonight and you have to help me get ready!" I stopped walking.

"Me? Zoe I don't know the first thing about going on a date, let alone getting ready for one! Don't let me anywhere near your face with a makeup bag! I'll end up putting blush on your forehead and lip liner on your eyebrows!" Zoe rolled her eyes at me as we came to my class room door. Though the crack in the door, I could see Jena James setting up the projector at the front of the room. Looks like we wouldn't be painting today.

"Of course I'm not going to let your near me with a makeup bag!" Zoe scoffed. "Taylor will be there to do that! But you'll be there to keep me company. Meet me out front when your class is over. We have a lot of work to do."
