"Being apart of something special does not make you special. Something is special because you are a part of it."

Chapter Fourty Three: Blank Canvas
The ride home from Hollywood Bowl was quiet.
My head was still spinning and I had so many questions that I wanted to ask, but it was so peaceful that I couldn't bring myself to ruin it. It had been months since I'd felt comfortable in Jayden's company. Ever since I had go to get him from the bar and he forgot everything. But now, sitting across from him in the limo watching whilst he was in a Skype meeting, I realised that part of me was glad that we'd had that time apart. Why, I wasn't too sure at that point, but I knew that it had been a good thing.
When we arrived at Jayden's apartment, there were paparazzi everywhere. My throat closed up, but I knew the only way they were ever going to leave us alone was if we gave them exactly what they wanted. Jayden took my head as Danny was fighting his way through the crowds to reach our door.
"Okay?" Jayden asked softly. I gave a half shrug.
"I'm good." I said. "If I can survive fake dating you for nearly a year, I'd pretty sure I can hand a few questions." Jayden laughed.
"Just remember." He said, as Danny finally reached the door. "You signed up for this. You can't blame getting trampled to death on me." I narrowed my eyes at him.
"If I die out there tonight Mr Hollywood Big Shot, I will haunt you for the rest of your life." Jayden smiled at me. Reaching out, he entwined our fingers together, pressing a kiss to my knuckles.
"Deal." He said. "Just as long as you don't step on the backs of my shoes when you come back as a ghost." I reached out to ruffle his hair and he dodged me, laughing.
"Go on." I said. "Open the door. As soon as we get this over and done with, the sooner we can order pizza."
"You sure you don't want chinese food?" Jayden asked with a grin. I ignored his and tapped my knuckles against the glass of the window. Danny signalled to the body guards Gracie and Sam and as they began to move the journalists and fans back, Danny opened the door.

I was completely wind blown by the time we finally got back into the apartment. People were rushing towards us as soon as we got inside, Jack and Rose in the lead. Jack pounced on Jayden, tugging him away from me, talking loudly and a million miles an hour. Rose put her arms around me in a warm hug.
"It's so good to see you again Spencer." She said, taking my face in both of her hands. "We've missed your smiling face around here." I smiled at her.
"Hi Rose." I said. Jack dropped his hand onto my shoulder. When I turned to face him, he pulled me into a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist and let out a sigh of relief.
"Welcome back Spencer." He said in my ear. Over his shoulder I could see Jayden embracing Rose. She had her arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders, whispering something in his ear. Jayden was nodding and when they pulled apart, Rose took his face in her hands and planted a kiss on his forehead. Jack let me go, dropping both of his hands onto my shoulders to keep me in place.
