Chapter Thirty-Eight: I could, but then I'd be lying
For the next two weeks, I did everything I could to try and get my life back to normal. Plus, I had finals to study for, if that didn't distract me then I was definitely a lost cause. My days were spent with Taylor and Zoe watching teen wolf re-runs, getting some early Christmas shopping underway and trying not to piss of my art professors by showing up for class and completing my assinments. After about a week, the paparazzi cooled off and stopped harassing anyone who came inside our apartment.
For the first week after my breakdown, Zoe always made sure there was someone with me, which I will admit was very annoying the first few days. But then I got used to always having someone around. If Zoe or Taylor weren't around, it was probably Jordan. My point is, whoever it was, there was always someone lounging in the living room or working at the kitchen table, or upstairs.
But after those two weeks were up, I figured it was time to stop hiding from the world and actually try to focus on something other than school and home life, or how freaking adorable Stydia was in the last Teen Wolf episode. I knew that what had happened between Jayden and I was still floating around, but it would only make me seem even more pathetic and hung up over something as ridiculous as a guy if I didn't go outside. I was sick of being a mushy puddle of mush.

The morning I decided to meet up with Jack was a crisp, sunny morning where there was not a cloud to be seen in the sky. Zoe was sitting cross legged on the kitchen table and glaring at me as I scurried around her, chucking bits and pieces into my shoulder bag. Jordan was leaning against the table with a cup of coffee in one hand and the other around Zoe's waist, either because he loved her, or to keep her from leaping across the table and strangling me. Knowing Zoe, it was probably the latter.
"Come on Zoe." I said as I threw my now empty mug into the sink. "I can't keep getting payed for something I'm not doing! It's not fair!" Zoe scowled at me. But she didn't say anything. To be fair, she hadn't said anything all morning, just sent me creepy glares across the counter tops whenever I walked past her. A horn sounded from out the front. I sighed, picking up my bag off the floor. "I have to go." I said. "Zoe I'll see you this afternoon. I'm only going to see Jack! Calm down."
Truth be told, I actually wasn't only going to see Jack. I still had the key to Jayden's apartment which I didn't want or need and Taylor and I had both come to the agreement that I should be the one to give it to him. Now before you all go nuts about how pathetic that sounds, I was well aware. But I'd never really liked someone that much before. I didn't want to give him back his key, in my opinion the bastard deserved to be stabbed in his eye by said key, but that would probably result in me being labeld as a crazy nut job on a killing spree and end up getting my ass thrown in jail. Yeah that probably wasn't the best idea I've has as of late. But I sent Zoe a smile never the less before grabbing my keys and racing outside to meet the cab that was waiting for me just down the street.

The place where I had arranged to meet Jack was called Groundwork Coffee Co, a cute little coffee shop just off the main street. I'd been there a few times for coffee before heading to my studio and they had the best caramel coffee. I swear to God I was in love. Jack had agreed to meet me there, after making sure that it was low key and out of the way. He didn't need to be running into the paparazzi anymore then I did.
