Chapter Thirty Two: She's bright like glitter and bubbly like champagne

I woke up to sunlight streaming in through the window.

I let out a groan, throwing my arm over my eyes, turning my back to the burning golden ball that was burning my eyes out. Shadows from the curtains played across my arm and my fingers dug into the crumpled sheets as I stretched my arms above my head. My fingers wondered over the bed, searching for the warmth of Jayden. I sat up when I couldn't find him.

My eyes flicked to the alarm clock beside his bed and my heart jumped in my throat when I saw the time. 2:30. In the afternoon? I flung the covers off me and swung my legs out of bed, grabbing one of Jayden's spare hoodies off the floor and pulling it over my head. I opened Jayden's bedroom door and slowly made my way down the hallway, following the sound of the tv into the living room. My heart was beating quite fast, slightly terrified that he was going to act the same way he did last night and kick me out without an explanation.

I found him sitting on the couch with a can of soda in his hand, his legs folded under him and his phone ringing away to itself on his knee. Jayden seemed bent on ignoring it.

"Are you going to answer that?" I asked tentatively, coming round the side of the sofa. Jayden glanced in my direction and sent me a smile.

"No, it's just Jack." He replied. "Quizzing me about what happened last night."

"What part of last night?" I asked. Jayden shrugged and glared down at his phone as it jumped back into life again.

"I have no idea." He said. "You tell me. I can't remember anything from the last twenty four hours." My breath died in my throat.

"What do you mean?" Jayden sighed.

"I remember the paparazzi rush at the airport and getting on the plane, but after that it's completely black. I woke up in bed with a killer head ache and you curled up on my chest." I wasn't sure whether to be happy or sad.

"So you don't remember anything?"

Jaydne shook his head.

"Nothing at all?" He turned to stare at me over his shoulder.

"I just said that Nala Bear. What's up with you? You're acting funny." I ran a hand over my face.

"Nothing." I said. "I'm just hungry."

"Jesus." Said Jayden, leaning his head back against the sofa and closeing his eyes. "How much did I drink last night?" I let out a laugh as I opened the door to his cupboards, searching for something to eat.

"Do you really want to know?"

"Well it'd be nice to remember the past day." Jayden replied. "Just to make sure I didn't do anything stupid." I stared at the packet of dried apple in front of me. Should I tell him to truth, or should I lie?
