Chapter Fourteen: Where would you like to talk? The moon?

My phone was ringing.

I let out an incoherent grown, reaching with my eyes still closed for the device sitting on the floor beside me. Behind me on the couch Zoe groaned and rolled over, digging herself deeper into the covers. Lifting myself up on one elbow, I picked it up and pressed it against my ear.

"Hello?"

"Don't tell me you're still in bed." Said a stern voice. I blinked, running a hand over my eyes.

"What?"

"You have a photoshoot you were suppost to be at half an hour ago Miss Rose." I sat bolt upright.

"Jack?"

"Yes indeed. Now you better get moving. I can't hold the photographer for much longer." The line went dead and I was left listening to the dial tone.

"Shoot." I muttered, getting up as fast as I could, which only ended in getting my feet tangled in the blankets. I threw my pillow at Zoe to get her up as I hopped around the room pulling up my jeans.

"Piss off." Zoe groaned, tossing the pillow back in my direction.

"Zoe get up!" I hissed. "I need a ride to the studio! I've got a photoshoot with Jayden which I forgot about and I'm already late." Zoe sat up so suddenly, she almost fell off the couch. Her hair was sticking up in all directions and she had a pillow crease on her cheek, but her eyes were wide and excited.

"Does lover boy wear a shirt to photoshoots?" She asked with a grin. I shrugged as I threw a shirt over my head.

I have no idea. Now can you get up please? I don't really wanna get fired."

"Can I come watch?" Zoe asked, kicking the covers off her bare legs. "I promise I won't get in the way."

"No Zoe." I said, flicking the light on so I wouldn't fall on my face. "You can drop me and go." Zoe scowled at me.

"But I. .  ."

"Don't you have a job starting today?" Zoe let out a sigh.

"Fine. I won't come in." I smiled at her.

"Thank you. Now hurry up, I need to stop for breakfast along the way."

By the time we got to the studio, me telling Zoe where to go from the directions that Jack had sent me, it was already twenty to nine. I threw a wave over my shoulder in Zoe's direction and then sprinted into the building. Jack was waiting for me out the front with his arms crossed over his chest. His brows didn't lift when he saw me.
