"I don't care if it's for 5 minutes or for a whole night, I just want to see you."

Chapter Thirty Six: We're like a Taylor Swifts breakup songs
I came back from the studio later that evening to the sound of pounding music. It was so loud, the floor was shaking as I tried to fit the key into the lock. When I finally got the key into the slot and the door open, it was clear I'd stumbled straight into a college party.
I let out a quiet yelp as I dodged a tall guy in a football jersey as he tripped his way down the corridor, a half empty cup of warm beer in his hand. I pressed myself against the wall and watched, open mouthed, as he went out the door and down the hallway, stumbling into walls and shouting the football chant as he went. I barely had time to think before the music changed to a loud, up beat tune and people came streaming out of the living room, stamping and cheering. Caught up in the rush of students, I found myself suddenly in the kitchen. I probably would have fallen over and gotten trampled to death, if Jordan, who was standing just inside the kitchen doorway, hadn't reached out and grabbed my arm. He yanked me out of the stampeed of people, giving me a chance to righten myself.
"Jordan." I said, when I'd finally managed to stand up for more then two seconds. "What the hell is going on?" In responce, Jordan nodded towards the table, which, until now, Zoe and I had kept pushed up against the wall. My eyes widened in horror when I saw what he was nodding at.
Zoe and Taylor were both standing on top of the table, which had been dragged right into the middle of the kitchen. They had their arms around each other and were swaying from side to side, a bottle of vodka shared between them. They were singing to the Katy Perry song that was currently making the floor boards shake, both sounding horrible and out of tune. I turned to face Jordan again.
"What happened?" I asked. Jordan sighed.
"Taylor's boyfriend broke up with her." He said. I gaped at him.
"So she decided to get over it by getting waisted?" Jordan gave me an odd look.
"How well do you know Taylor Spence?" He asked. I blinked.
"Not as well as I thought?" Jordan nodded.
"I figured as much. Because if you did, you would know that Taylor and Tyler have been an on again, off again couple for almost five years.
Every time he breaks up with her, she deals with it like this. She gets waisted, he goes away for a day or two, then he comes back, beats her door down and begs her to take him back." I stared at Taylor, swaying from side to side on the table. There was something sad behind her eyes, but she suddenly spotted me. Her eyes lit up and her face split into a huge grin.
"Spencer!" She shrieked, stumbling down off the table. Because of how drunk she was, she probably would have knocked herself out by falling off the table, but one of the boys from the basket ball team grabbed her around the waist.
"Here we go." Jordan muttered. I wanted to ask him what he meant, when Taylor suddenly looped her arms around the boys neck and began to heavily makeout with him.
"Oh dear god." I groaned.
"Just wait." Jordan said softly. "She's not finished yet." I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye when i heard an awful shriek come from the centre of the room. I whipped my head towards Taylor as she'd shoved the guy away and was screaming at him, tears streaming down her face.
