Chapter Thirteen: Royal blue or baby blue?

I woke up on Jayden's couch.

I was curled up under a faded green blanket with my back to the TV, curled up so tightly I had to moved around for a bit to un-tangle myself. Sunlight was streaming in from the
huge French windows across from me and I threw an arm over my face to block out the harsh light. The smell of bacon waffled into the room as I sat up and keeping the blacker wrapped tightly around my shoulders like a shawl, I padded into down the corridor and into the kitchen.
Jayden was standing beside the stove in a pair of shorts and nothing else with his back to me, flipping something in a pan on the stove. I'm not gonna lie. I did freeze when I saw his bare back which looked tanned brown in the early morning light. His shorts hung low on his hips and I drew in a shallow breath before I took a few steps forward.

Get it together Spencer. I told myself as I moved up behind him. You do not find him attractive.

"Good morning." I said, as brightly as I could, leaning my elbows on the bench behind him. Jayden glanced at me over his shoulder and sent me a crooked grin before turning his attention back to the pan.

"Good morning Nala Bear." I groaned.

"I really wish you wouldn't call me that. And her names not even Nala Bear, it's just Nala." Jayden shrugged as he flipped an egg before turning around to face me.

"I've told you before Spencer and I'll tell you again. That's the beauty of nick names. You don't get to pick."

I threw the tea towel at him.

When Zoe picked me up about half a hour later after I showered, she stared at me with huge eyes, probably because I was wearing Jayden's shirt.

"What?" I asked as I clicked my seat belt into place.

"Shirt." She said, still gaping at me. "You're wearing his shirt."

"It's for the cameras Zoe." I said with a sigh, "get your head out of the gutter."

We hadn't been home for every long when I wondered back into the kitchen.

"Hey Zo?" I called. "Are you free today?"

"Umm. Yeah." Zoe called back. "Why?"

"Because I want to start decorating my studio. Do you want to help?"

"What do you think?" Zoe asked, sticking her head out of the kitchen door. "Decorating is right up my ally!"

When we arrived at the studio, I stood in the middle of the room trying to work out what I wanted to do with the space whilst Zoe zipped around me like a busy bea snapping photos of every wall.

"Well" I said. "Why don't we have a desk in that corner over there, have the esals by the big window, all the paint supplies in a cupboard beside that and a couch and sitting area or whatever over there." Whilst I was talking, Zoe was taking notes to add to the huge shopping list that I'd created that was already over half a metre long.
