Chapter Twenty Five: I'm not broken. I'm just slightly cracked

I woke up the next morning to a bucket of water to the face. And I can tell you right now that there is nothing more awful than waking up in the middle of your bed completely soaking wet. I let out a gasp and sat bolt upright, knocking Toby off the bed who was curled on my feet. Taylor was standing beside my bed with a now empty bucket, a sly grin on her face.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I shrieked, holding my wet Pajama top away from me. "You better have a good reason for this?"

"It's time to wake up." Said Taylor with a grin. I whipped the water out of my eyes and turned to squint at the clock on my bedside table. The numbers were blurred by my sleep deprived eyes, but I knew what the clock said.

"8:30 in the morning! On a Saturday? Have you lost your mind?" Taylor rolled her eyes at me.

"You said I had to have a valid reason." She replied. "That is my valid reason. It's past 8:00 am and you need to get up."

"That is not a valid reason!" I said, running my hands over my face. "I meant like if someone had died or we'd run out of pop tarts for breakfast or something." Taylor raised her eyebrows at me.

"Running out of pop tarts is a valid reason to get you out of bed?"

"Of course it is!" I said. "Running out of pop tarts is a very dangerous thing." Taylor simply rolled her eyes.

"Just get out of bed Spencer."

When I finally dragged my sorry ass down stairs, I found Taylor and Zoe sitting together on the sofa in the living room. I openly ignored them and headed into the kitchen. Until my brain was able to process what it was they were giggling over.

"Hey! That's my phone!" Both of their heads jerked up and Taylor dropped my phone onto the couch beside her with a guilty glance in my direction. I picked it up and turned it on, to find messages from Jayden that had been read without my permission by the two people I call my friends. They were also half way throught replying. I glared at them as I held the phone out in their direction.

"What the hell is this?" I asked.

Dear Jay-Bear
I can't keep my ever growing lust for you
A secret any longer. I need you I want you!
Please tell me you feel the same way! I'd
Die for you Jayden!
Love always
Nala Bear

"Can I press send?" Zoe asked stupidly. Taylor started laughing as I aimed a kick at Zoe's shin.

"I hate you both!" I said, shoving my phone into my pocket and flouncing towards the kitchen with my nose in the air. "I demand a full on European breakfast made for me right now!" Zoe and Taylor both let out a moan.

"But we were just trying to do you a favour!" Taylor whined. "We thought you'd like it if we got the relationship ball rolling!"
