I saw Kaelyn walk off with that guy and it hurt me to see.. To think I was so stupid to let that one go.. When Kyle Jr died it got the best of me and then the devil in the bottle got ahold of me.. Before any of that happened I had bought a ring and planned to marry Kaelyn she was and still is the love of my life, as long as she's happy then I'm happy for her..

Our handsome little boy would've been 4 this year and it breaks my heart that there was nothing I could do to save him.

I walked back to my truck and sat there for a few minutes gathering myself back together.. Then I decided to go ahead and find a restaurant in town somewhere and meet up with a few rodeo guys.

I walked in and we got seated at a booth and across from us were some tables. I took my hat off and placed it next to me and looked over then menu, I ordered myself a beer along with the rest of the table.

The places filled up pretty fast after the rodeo, it was a rustic looking restaurant and said home cookin so I was looking forward to it. We were lookin over the menu when I heard a all to familiar voice.. Kaelyn.

I looked up and over behind my shoulder to see her with that guy and Ty and Justin and some other guy along with them, all sitting there laughing and having a good time.. I gulped, that one guy she was with looked like living hell.. Her cheeks were rosy red and he smiled was as beautiful as ever, sparkles back in her eyes and she looked genuinely happy.. I looked down at the floor then back at the menu, our waitress brought over our beer and made sure to Lean her cleavage in my face. I backed away and grabbed my deer taking a chug out of it.

"Damn Kyle you look like you seen a ghost" Ryan spoke

I shook my head and cleared my throat

"No just someone I use to I know" I said looking down at the menu once more.

The waitress came again to take our orders, I ordered a ribeye steak w baked tater and green beans.. The guys all ordered and got us an appetizer as well. I had pretty much lost my appetite so I had to force myself to eat..

I kept hearing her laugh and her soft voice speak about the rodeo and everything that had happened the last few months.. My mind kept drifting back to the past. Me and her were once happy and so in love..

"Kyle damn man who's so important that's on your mind" Levi questioned lookin at me.

I shook my head "behind us on the right blue shirt brown hair at the table" I spoke softly.

They both looked over the booth

"The pretty gal over there?" Ryan spoke

"Want me to get you her number" Levi said laughing

I clinched my jaw "yes her" .. "I have her number" I said not wanting to say anymore..

I didn't want to look weak In front of rodeo guys but this time of year it hits me. And reminds me how I lost her and our son and I'll never get them back..
