Kaelyn

The boys were hiding something I can tell and it was bugging them.. I don't know what it was but whatever it was I had a feeling it was something major. Surly it'll blow over it has too, whatever it is I'll just be glad when Drew gets here. I long to be in his arms..

I finished up the dishes and washed my hands off. The boys were still out in the barn with the horses and the girls went to town for some oddly reason..

My phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my pocket. It was Drew saying he missed me. I smiled and wanted to call him but I knew he would be busy.

Waylon came In the house crying interrupting my thoughts as I sat in the kitchen.. I leaned down and checked his paw, sure enough a big thorn was stuck..

"Aw you poor baby" I pulled it out and kissed it.

He licked my cheek and ran back out the door.

I was officially bored and didn't know what to do.. I decided to go out to the barn and mess with Weston. Ty and Justin were in the tack room figuring up the money books, I looked past them and grabbed my saddle. I hung it up on the stall and brushed him down real fast before putting it on. I gave him a hug and a few treats and an apple. I didn't realize how much I'd missed him.

"Hi baby" he nuzzled my cheek

I rubbed his head and kissed him. I saddled him and road him around the barn to the little trail we have, it's not much but it gets him out of his stall for a little while. My mind drifted back to Drews place and the beautiful hills and riverfront property..

Drew

I was driving back to the ranch when my phone rang, I wasn't sure of the number but I knew it wouldn't be any business calling cause it was after 5.. the clock read 6:58pm to be exact. I waited a few moments and answered.

"Hello?"

"Drew!"

"Tyler?" I questioned

"Yeah, Kaelyn told us about you wanting her to move.."

They don't want her to move.. I thought to myself. Great.

"Uh yeah I'd love to have her here"

"Before that can happen we all need to talk" Tyler's voice changed.

"Umm okay.. where?"

"Kae said you're coming down tomorrow, we'll talk then"

"What's this about?" I questioned

"Family"

"Family, what family?"

"It's hard to explain over the phone and it's gonna sound batshit crazy but Drew we believe you're our long lost brother"

"What!?" I stopped on the side of the road.

Brother?! What that's impossible, my mom and dad are both druggies and wanted nothing to do with me, that's what my grandparents always told me and I've witnessed it first hand.

"Crazy right" Tyler chuckled

"It's impossible"

"Come down tomorrow and we'll explain"

"Wait you and Justin are brothers?"

"Yes"

My head was spinning in circles.. I don't know why it was making me feel this way.. after all I should be happy I have some family left. But what all does this have to do with Kaelyn..

"I'll see you tomorrow"

"Don't say a word to Kaelyn about it"

"I won't" I said and hung up

I drove back to the ranch and walked in the house, Sadie was excited to see me but I tapped her head and walked straight for the bedroom. I walked to the bathroom and took a two pain pills for my throbbing neck ache caused from my accident that recurs when I'm stressed. My head was throbbing too, I should probably just lay down and sleep it off but I had to find some stuff out.

I walked to the hall closet which held the safe that grandad held all the family records in. I pulled out the file that said my name, I've never looked at this cause I never questioned my grandparents. 

I walked to the tabled and opened my file. It held my birth certificate, and all my personal information.

There was an envelope that read "Drew" I picked it up not sure if I wanted to open it.. but I did.

Kaelyn

I got back from my ride and walked Weston back to his stall. I got him some fresh water and made sure his stall was clean before I went ahead and gave him a few extra snacks with his food.

I walked in the tack room and Ty was the only on in there. He was looking over paper work which I'm assuming was about the new ranch contract.

I got Weston some food and a few snacks and carried them back out to him. He took the, from my hand easily. I kissed his nose and went to put the feed bucket up.

"Kae" ty said

"Mmm?"

"Make sure Drew comes down here tomorrow"

"Okay but why?"

"We need to speak to him"

"If it's about me moving in with him then don't bother, I've made my decision Ty"

"Just make sure he's here tomorrow" he said sternly and walked out.

I sighed and followed him out but he was no where to be seen. He must've went the other way.. what in the hell would Ty want with him other than to talk him out of me moving in, which is not happening.  I love Drew and nobody is going to stop me.

I pulled my phone out, still no texts from him or calls.. He should be home by now and getting ready for bed, surly he's not still working..  I sent him a quick text that said 'see you tomorrow! :)' I walked in the house and up to the bedroom I was sharing tonight with Ty but he wasn't in there.

I plopped down on the bed and covered my eyes.. whatever is happening I feel like it isn't going to be a good ending.. I just hope my gut feeling is wrong.. I looked at my texts and still no response from Drew.
