Mitch took a small step forward, tapping Travis' shoulder a few times. "Hey... I'm willing to give you another chance. Just... Please don't hurt him again."

"I won't, Mitch. You don't know what it's like to feel so alone that you're caving in on yourself. Because you have Scott, who practically suffocates you with his love. He'd do anything for you. But... I ruined my own life. And... I need Alex, just so that I can survive."

Mitch frowned at him, setting a hand on his back. "I'm sorry for being so hard on you..."

"Don't be sorry. I deserve it. But I'll prove to you, to all of you. I'm not who I used to be."

"I'll believe it when I see it."

Kevin passed the phone off to Scott, as per Avi's request.

Scott then stepped off into the other room for privacy. "Yes, Sir?"

"How are things going up there? I heard Alexander kissed Travis... Did Jake ever find out?"

Scott sat down on the edge of his bed slowly. "Wow... You're pretty far behind."

"Educate me then, Rookie."

"First of all, after the kiss, Mitch tried to help by kissing Alex to mask the smell of Travis. So Jake didn't find out that way."

"Mitchell kissed Alexander?" Avi paused, most likely saying something to Kirstie. "That's hot. Continue."

Scott ignored that, for his own sake. "Mitch told me about it immediately, so he and I were okay. But Alex went around getting advice from people, because he didn't know what to do. And eventually, he just had to flat out tell Jake what had happened."

Avi cringed. "Oof... That sucks. Poor guy. What did Jake say?"

"I don't really know. But I know he came in all angry, and then got in a huge argument with Travis, but it wasn't physical at all. Then there was a huge thing with the Betas trying to help, and..."

Avi nodded, leaning back on the couch. "Wow... All kinds of shit. And what conclusion did they come to? Wait, don't tell me. Alexander chose Travis."

"Well... You're not wrong."

"He did? I knew it! Kirstie, did you hear that? I totally called it."

Scott looked down at his lap. "Um... Alpha? I'm not done."

Avi's voice came back toward him. "Oh, sorry... Go ahead. What else?"

"The, uh... The plan is for Travis to Mark him on top of Jake's Mark... And then Alex will have two Alphas."

"Like... A polygamous thing?"

"Yes, Sir." He mumbled.

Avi paused for a moment. "Did not expect that... Interesting. Maybe it's just me, but Travis seems like he'd be more territorial."

"I thought the same thing. But... It seems like he's really willing to change himself to adapt to Alex's needs. And Jake just wants Alex to be happy, so. It sounds like a really really bad idea, but so far it's looking okay."
