Dinner was quiet, until Kirstie set her fork down loudly. "I have a revelation."
Avi glanced over at her, still chewing. "Well? Out with it. Don't hold back on me now."
She looked down at her food, and frowned. "I think Mitch is pregnant."
Todrick chuckled a little. "I doubt Scott would have risked letting that happen."
Kevin nodded once. "And don't you think Mitch would've said something to one of us? Even if on accident?"
Avi hummed in agreement. "Absolutely. He even felt the need to tell me when he requested a new kind of toilet paper."
Todrick looked up from his food slowly. "Oh."
Kevin set a hand on his back. "What's the matter?"
"He might not have told one of us... But think about it. Who are his two closest friends?"
Avi held up his pointer finger. "Scott."
Kevin stopped moving. "Oh... And Alex."
Todrick stood from his seat, eyes now on Avi. "Do you want me to call and ask? Or I could just go stop by. He wouldn't lie to my face."
Avi just waved a hand at him. "Please. Don't bother. We can just ask when they get home. What's your rush?"
Kirstie frowned. "My rush? My rush, is that he could be months pregnant without knowing what he's doing. What if something happens to the baby, that could've been prevented if Mitch had known what to look out for?"
Avi looked to Kevin. "When do pregnant people start to show?"
"Usually around five months or so. But as small as he is, probably earlier."
Avi nodded, slowly turning back to Kirstie. "He could be showing, and we wouldn't even know. Maybe he wears all of Scott's shirts for a reason."
Todrick sat back down. "Hang on, guys. Let's not lose our minds over this. We have no idea whether or not he's pregnant. Don't freak out until we know if he fulfills the prerequisite."
Kirstie placed both of her hands on the table. "You're right... We just have to ask him. He wouldn't lie, would he?"
Kevin shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe not. But if he's hiding it, he has a reason."
*******
Jake had fallen asleep on Travis' shoulder as they watched one of Alex's favorite movies.
Travis hadn't even really noticed, as he'd been running a hand up and down Alex's back.
Alex turned to him suddenly. "Look, look! This is my favorite part!"
"I'm looking, Princess."
Alex grinned, turning his eyes back to the television.
Travis turned his head just slightly, to stare at Alex briefly before he turned to watch the movie again.
Alex pouted at him. "I saw that."
"Saw what?"
"You. Like, five seconds ago. You were staring at me."
"Am I not allowed to do that?"
"No, just..." Alex's pout deepened a little. "There are other things to look at."
Jake shifted, suddenly. Leaning on Travis a little, though he picked up his head. "What's going on?"
Travis spoke first. "I was just taking a second to appreciate how gorgeous our Omega is, and he freaked out."
Jake closed his eyes again. "Yeah. He does that sometimes."
