□□ For the first time in his life, he wasn't able to get his dream come true. □□
"Thank you for everything?" Jack asked her. The tone she has was like a goodbye tone.
"Yeah. " Kirsten exclaimed softly. "Thank you"
Jack was madly confused but he tried to keep his cool. Kirsten said thank you in a sad way. He thought she was saying goodbye indirectly. But on the other hand, she might just be really happy and is having tears of joy for having Jack on her side. He didn't know if he should be happy or panicky.
"Nothing?" Kirsten asked. He was so silent. His straight face tells Kirsten he was either up to something or stuck at nothing.
"I'm not saying goodbye, yet" her last word was as silent as her breath, fading into nothing.
Jack's face lighted up. Kirsten solved the matters that boggled his mind. At one point, he felt like he was going to lose a great part of his life, or maybe his everything. He didn't want that to happen since he already had the best place for Kirsten to create new memories, in his mind.
"Ready for our third date?" Jack whispered to her ear as the others went inside the room and were very excited to see Kirsten interacting with Jack. They wanted to be part of it too.
Kirsten giggled softly, almost looking uninterested with the idea. "Running away again?" she whispered back. Her eyes glanced on Alex who was eagerly looking at them. She blinked her eyes at him before looking back at Jack's eyes.
"No." Jack said. It was a negative connotation but his face says so otherwise. "Third date is right after you get out of the hospital." his grin was priceless. It looked like the cutest, most romantic diabolical plan.
Kirsten rolled her eyes and shook her head gently. She knew it was Jack's way of making her feel better and motivated. She knew deep inside, that she really can't look forward to that third date.
The situation has shifted to nothing already. The baby was gone and there was no sense for Kirsten, to have a date or even to stay with them. The only reason she stayed was because Jack asked her to. She stayed because he promised to take care of her and their baby. If not, she would just be a leech, or maybe a band slut who was trying so hard to get noticed.
She was the total opposite of a band slut. She was fine with the attention, but she never craved for it. She was passive about it. No or small interactions for a day was just the same for her.
Kirsten saw herself as a responsibility for everyone, just because Jack got her pregnant. She looked at herself that way, but they never saw her like that. She was the bright happy source of sunshine for everyone.
She felt like it would be very embarrassing to stay with them. She was back to being a normal lady. She knew she still have a job to do. She signed a contract that she did not really understood. Kirsten read it, but all that she thought was being a part of the band.
She waited for Vinny to come and visit that day. His minor injury might have gone well already, or just like Kirsten's. She wanted to talk about early resignation. She was hesitant in doing so, since she knew that everyone was expecting her to be with them still. Jack was even planning a third date. The way he made 'dates' different from any other regular day they were together, was a big check for Kirsten's love list.
Even if they have gone through a relationship stage that they are bound to each other, Jack still made sure that she could feel like they are new lovers. He wanted her to feel that they are taking things slowly, and that he respects her feelings. Being bound together does not mean they can't try their hardest to bound themselves in a love of their own.
