Chapter 15~

For the past two days, the guys had been on a lookout for Polly when I wasn't around. Polly might not know the danger she was in and walking around like that wasn't going to help. During lunch, she would just talk to us like nothing had happen but it was clear that fear was in her eyes as she always looked around from time to time.

When Ken asked Polly about the wound on her shoulder, I thought she would blurt it all out, but to my surprise she just laughed it off and made up a story of her accidentally falling on a sharp surface. Ken didn't look convinced because Polly wasn't that stupid but he didn't say anything else.

Speaking of days, I still had seventy more days with Will. Just the thought of that made me sad, would anything change?

"What's going on your mind?" I jumped from my seat when I heard Will's voice. I must have been spacing out again, damn it. "You have that thinking look. Thinking about Polly and Lance?" I nodded, what else would I have been thinking about? Polly wouldn't bring up the subject, and if i did, she would just skipped it and change the subject.

"I just can't help but think something bad would happen to Polly when we're not looking." I said, I didn't even need to look at Will to know he was worried about Polly. Jeff was having the same class as Polly right now so he was looking after her. Will and I were in the advanced class so we couldn't make sure she was alright. When Jeff wasn't with her, I worry like a mother hen. It sucks, worrying every second that your best friend might die.

"Can we not talk about Polly now?" What else could he would be thinking of? Her safety came first, what else could be more important than that?

"Why?"

"Because you've been talking about her since the day she was involved. So, how about the three of us tell her what's going on and teach her a few defense moves?" if only she would let us talk about it to her, I thought. Polly wouldn't hear of it, afraid that she would be in more danger if she knew more. But personally, I couldn't see her in more danger because Lance wanted to kill her.

"But-" my sentence was cut off when the classroom door burst open and Jeff was at the door, sweaty and panting as if he had just ran. The girls in class were sending flirtatious looks at him but he didn't even acknowledge them, he was looking at me and Will.

Something happened.

"Mister, could I see Fleur and Will for a second?" he said while trying to catch his breath. Before the teacher could say yes, the both of us stood up and walked to the door, trying to keep a straight face in front of the other students.

Jeff dragged the both of us out and yanked the door close. "It's Polly, some guy asked for her and said that her father got into an incident and the both of them are leaving right now! We have to catch up to them!" Jeff blurted.

Knowing Polly, she wouldn't call her dad to made sure, she would just leave school with that man. I mentally slapped myself and ran towards the nearest exit, hoping I could get to the parking lot in time.

* * *

The man didn't look anything like Lance, but he could have been Lance's buddies. Luckily their backs were facing us so that guy didn't know the three of us were sneaking up on them. When I got close enough, Will cleared his throat and the both of them turned around.

"Fleur! What are you doing here?!"

"I should be asking you that question! What are you doing with him?!" okay, I was angry. I knew I shouldn't get angry at Polly but I just was.

"He was going to bring me to my dad! He got into an incident! How could you not be considerate?" she looked like she was on the edge of crying but for the first time, I didn't care. My anger got the best of me and I was too angry to care about Polly's feelings that moment.

"So you're just going with him, without trying to make sure your dad is really in the hospital, even after what happened a few nights ago?" all of a sudden, the color drained out of her face. So she hadn't thought about that.

"But we have to rush, Polly. We need to get you to your dad." I knew better. Taking out my cell phone, I saw him tensed up as I dialed Polly's dad's cell phone number. When the line got through, I placed it on loud speaker so that everyone could hear.

"Hey Mr Myers, are you alright? We heard you got into an incident."

"What? Where did you got that from? No, I'm at work. Tell Polly not to worry! Tell her I love her, bye." he hung up. I glared at the man, he just let out a smirk as he quickly grab Polly by the arm and yanked her behind him.

He was about Will's height, hmm...easy to handle.

* * *

"Who sent you?! Don't make me ask for the sixth time, buddy." he was on the ground flat, with me on top. I felt good to be able to win a fight again, with Lance holding that stupid knife all day I couldn't even get near him enough to give him a good kick. But Jensen here was easy to take down. Maybe it was because he didn't have any weapons on him like Lance did.

"Lancelot Cross, miss! Let me go!" Lancelot, huh? Nice name, I preferred calling him Lance. I let him go but before he could run off, I punched him at the cheek, making sure I used full strength. Polly was on the ground shaking, Jeff trying to talk to her. Hopefully his good looks would give him some bonus points.

We must have been at the parking lot for a long time because the bell rang and almost instantly, students were rushing out of the building. I turned to Polly again and grabbed her shoulders, "We have to talk, okay?"

She nodded.

There was buzz from my cell phone. I took it out and stared blankly at the screen.

This isn't over, beautiful.
