Chapter 14

~Sileen~

"Ouch!" Hemi winced in pain when I used a damp towel to wipe away the blood on his lips. I ignored him and continued to wipe away the blood that was staining his lips. The lips I kissed this afternoon. Reluctantly, my eyes travelled to his eyes which were already staring at me.

     "What?"

"Nothing." He lied, there was something. Something he wanted to ask me, or at least tell me. But I didn't press on, I just continued with getting him clean and bandaged. Eventhough I felt like it was my fault that Hemi was beaten up and hurting all over right then, I couldn't bring myself to feel guilty. Maybe it's because he abandoned me for the whole night just to go on that stupid date of his, and then showing up just when I was almost about to be mug.

"I'm sorry, Sil." He said, his voice was repentant.

"Okay." Was all I said. Obviously I was nothing to him, he was probably wishing he saved Olivia, not me.

He said he liked you, idiot! A voice screamed in my head, but I decided to be against it. He was barely conscious when he said those three words, his head was messed up thanks to getting beat up.

"No, Sil. I meant it. I'm sorry for ditching you alone in here working all by yourself the whole night while I'm out there enjoying myself. Well, actually I didn't enjoy it. Olivia was talking bad about you and-"

I cut him off. "Olivia was talking bad about me?"

     He nodded.

"And you didn't defend me?" Somehow, anger was boiling up inside me. I was on the edge of bursting and throwing everything that was in sight.

"I did! I felt angry when she said those stuff about you! That's why I left the place to find you!" That was it? He wasn't looking for me because he felt something towards me? Well, I shouldn't expect too much either.

I slowly tear my eyes away from him and quickly finish up on his minor wounds. After I was done, I picked up my bag and let it hung over my shoulder. "Close up for me, would you? Thanks." I said, over my shoulder and left without another word.

~Fleur~

"Do you want me to go inside?" Will asked me, his arm still draped over my shoulder. I gave him a wry smile and answered, "Of course. Come on." I rolled my eyes and pulled him into the apartment. The first sight that met my eyes was a girl leaning on Frank as the both of them watched a movie on the TV. I raised an eyebrow at him when our gazes met, he narrowed his eyes at me then mouthed 'Just a friend'.

I didn't buy it, but I let it drop anyways. If my brother was into that girl, I might as well let him have his moment.

I went to the kitchen first, since I was extremely thirsty. Will made himself comfortable by sitting at one of the chairs in the dining table, looking at me as I filled myself a glass of water and drank it down in one huge gulp.

He raised an eyebrow, amused at the sight of me being thirsty.

"What?" I asked him and he just shrugged, his amused expression still on his face.

"Meet me in your room once you stopped gulping like a monster." He smirked as I threw him a look. Once he was no longer in sight, I helped myself to a piece of leftover cheesecake in the fridge. Just at the sight of cheesecake, I could hear my stomach grumble. I'd skipped dinner just to help out in the office, I even forced myself to lie to Will that I'd ate dinner with a few office workers while he worked overtime.

I found myself a fork and started to dig in.

"I miss the smell of your hair." Will said, out of the blue. We were in my room, both curled up in my bed. Will was playing with my hair, occasionally curling my hair around his finger then letting it loose again.

"Will, what are we gonna do with the marriage?" It suddenly came to my mind that none of us were doing anything about the little problem that we were going to face soon, and all of us were just moving on with life like it wasn't a big deal. IT IS A BIG DEAL. If Will gets married to another girl, I might end up forever alone. Plus, Avery was going to use the company in a very negative way once she gets her hands on it.

"Flower, can we not talk about this?"

"But I want to talk about it! We can't just let it slide!"

     "Flower, listen-"

"Will! If the marriage does happen, Avery wouldn't run it properly, and all your dad's hardwork in maintaining it in a great shape would go down the drain. And also, I would lose you to another girl who just happens to have my nickname that you call me, as her own name! How did I manage to let it slip through my mind these days?! Oh God..."

"Flower. I meant, I didn't want to talk about this now. I want to cuddle next to you for now and not think about anything." His eyes looked serious as he said those words. For a moment there, I felt guilty that I brought that up. Will just wanted to spend his time with me without thinking all that, and I had to ruin it by bringing it up.

     "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"

"It's okay. I think you need some sleep."

"But I don't want you to leave-"

"Then I won't. Just sleep, Flower. You look tired."

     "Will-"

"Rest, I'll be here in the morning." He rested his head on the pillow next to mine and smiled at me. My gaze softened and I let my eyelids shut.

     "Promise?"

     "Promise. Night, Flower."

"Night, Will." And then sleep crept up on me. Before I knew it, I drifted off to a dream. A nightmare actually. A nightmare that consisted of Will, Flower, my other friends and of course, myself.
