Chapter 26~
Everything slowed down as Will was placed onto a stretcher and I climbed into the ambulance with him. Will was unconscious and desperately needing some medical attention. He was losing blood fast, especially the blood from his brain. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it, desperate to have some kind of respond from him.
Sadly, there wasn't any.
He was still breathing but one of the paramedics said his heart beat was slow. That was when I started to get worried and actually started to cry. I kept praying to God that He wouldn't just let Will leave me like that. And that Will would actually get through it and still be with me.
Will wasn't a boyfriend, but he wasn't just a friend either. I just realized that. Like Jeff, he was just a close friend. But he didn't actually know about my fears, my feelings. Unlike Will. Will knew everything about me and sadly he even knew about my period."Will, please don't leave me. I love you..." It was so unreal, saying those three words. Will's hand twitched a little and my eyes snapped open. Had he heard what I said?
"Will? Will! Will?!" I called his name but there wasn't any further response. His face was starting to go pale and I was freaking out. In a few seconds the doors of the ambulance burst open and Will was reeled away from me.
Dad found me minutes later outside of the surgery room, mom was with Will's parents back at the mansion, trying to get them to calm down. Actually, I really appreciate Dad for coming instead of Mom. Dad was more calm and I suspected he knew my feelings for Will. After all, I was more like my Dad then like my Mom.
"I love him, dad..." I said while my tears flowed. He made soothing noises and rubbed my back in a comfortable way.
"I know, Fleur...He knows too." That was what I needed to hear because almost in an instant I calmed down. Even if Will doesn't make it, he would at least know or suspected I loved him. What?! I had to think positive! For Will, I had to think positive.
But...Love? Love was a strong word. Did I love him or was it just a stupid crush?
I thought about the times when I got worried about Will, especially when Lance was out to get him. And I thought about how I felt when Will found me at the burning building Avery kidnap me to. And I remembered how he teased me and cared for me when I was sick. We'd been through a lot and surely feelings must have developed.
"It's called Love, Fleur." Dad whispered to me.
"Huh?"
"I know that look. It was the same look your Mom gave me when she secretly liked me." He winked. I knew he was only trying to make me smile but couldn't he tone down the attitude of his. I gave him a wry smile and collasped back onto his shoulder."Dad."
"Hmm?"
"I love him."
"I know."
"I don't want to lose him." It was true, I didn't want to lose him. Even if he was a jerk and sometimes really annoying."Then don't lose him."
Huh?
"You must've heard about Avery and my story, right?" I nodded and he continued, "I didn't love Avery. Your mom knew that too. Your mom almost lost her best friend just to confront Avery's mom. Of course, she never stop trying to stop the wedding until the end. My point is Fleur, when you love someone, you would do anything to not lose them. Even if it means going through a little hurting."
That was probably the most amazing love advice my Dad had given me. I mean, my Dad was usually the type of person who scares boys away when they ask me out. Well, what Dad wouldn't do that for their own daughter? So it surprised me a little when Dad actually told me not to lose Will. It was actually really nice to hear Dad cheering me on, it made me felt like I made the right choice.
"I love you, Dad."
"You're only saying that because I approve of you to like that rebel.""No Dad, I love you because you're the best Dad a girl could have." It might be cheesy, but it was true nonetheless.

"Fleur Michelle Tyler?" The nurse who was in charge of Will appeared with a clipboard in hand. For the first time ever, I didn't mind someone calling me by my full name.
Instantly I got up from my seat and my heart was beating really fast.
"Is Will okay? Is he alive? Can I see him?" Okay, I expected the nurse to actually think I belonged at the mental hospital but instead she gave me a warm smile and announced that I was allowed to enter the room. I asked if my Dad could come with me, and she said it was okay as long as we didn't make too much noise.
So Dad and I entered and I was the first to catch a glimpse of Will's no longer pale face. He was lying on the hospital bed, his breathing regular and his head was wrapped with bandages.
And he was conscious.
"Will!" I cried as I quickly got to his side and hugged.
The next thing that he said completely broke my heart to pieces.
"Who are you?"

Seems like William here lost his memory! I know you guys wouldn't believe me, but I actually was going to cry when I wrote this chapter. I mean, it's not every day you hear about Fleur crying. After all, she RARELY cries.
